if you want to improve your skills on speaking the english language, try this technique (and it works):
=bite a pencil (any pencil would do) as you read out loud various tongue twisters.. that'll improve your pronunciation of english words as your tongue strokes the pencil back and fort..
...and oh, don't converse with a filipino friend using english all the time.. he might think you're a dumbass.. hehehe (except in the forums)

tinuod practice and use it more often as you can till you get comfortable speaking it...just work at it and just ask someone to help you if you're not sure how to pronounce some words...
also reading more often... newspaper, novels, magazine,etc. and a supportive frend to guide u..

different languages enable us to think in different ways. it's one of the reasons - aside from culture - that some jokes in Bisaya aren't that funny when translated to English (or some other language); and vice versa. so practice thinking in English as well. try analyzing a certain situation in English. you can begin doing so inside your head. then later on you can say it out loud to practice the mouth.
