as for me,i was introduced to the breed in 1992 via the film, The Omen.they perform the role of "devil dogs" in that movie who attacked the actor Gregory Peck.after that icontinue collecting information thru books & dog magazines about what breed it is,that to me ' looks like a bulldog with a dobermann's body'.until i saw my 1st rottweiler a couple of years later,from our neighbor in cotabato,who's a balikbayan from germany.she & her german national husband,bought their 2 year old male rott named ringo.my 1st impression to the breed,is awe inspiring.it was a huge,stocky & muscular animal with a heavy head.my dog at that time was a dobermann,which my dad brought from manila,the 1st dog ive trained & attended dog shows with.i love these dog & its breed as well but its difficult not to compare it with the rottweiler,being stocky & beefy so with that i tend to feed my dobe more for it to resemble a rott's body,as a result i got a heavy dobe with a small head,but anyway i accepted later on that my dobe & the rott are different both in bone structure & heavy conformation as well.

My 1st rottweiler arrived on march 2003 (together with my pitbull),a female from iloilo.her name is 'Muffet of Helm's deep' aka "Chloe".these dog,opened my eyes to a new training method that is purely Positive reinforcement training & the whole set of ideals & aspirations of owning a dog & having fun with the whole thing that it can do.And with all said & done,i could actually say that a rottweiler is the dog of dogs with a good work ethic & a great loyalty to top it all off....too much for that "devil dog" thing

i think 9 yrs ago.. i want big dogs especially the doberman but when i saw the rottweiler and naa sad movie a2 nga patay2x nga ang rott moi tigpatay immediately i fall inlove! hahaha ill post the movie here if makit an pa 2 nakow dugay na ayo toh sa hbo gi pa salida!

uo fids pag ka kita nakow a2 salidaa ibog dayon kow sa rott oe isog ayo og nawng follow orders kaayo sila oe bhalag nsa pa ka grabe mo treat ang amoh! then sa ilaha pa jud repu nga isog daw ayo samot kow ka ibog pero pag buhi nakow hasus pag ka buotana ba diay nga di man kamao mamaak sa amo! ilaha sulti2x nga bati kai mangunay og amo false statement jud kaayo para nakow!hahaha protector pa jud ang rott! i owned before a japanese spitz both parents were import kapila nakow na paakan ato iroa bisag ako tigpa lawg tigkaligo tig tanan! hahaha pero ang rott bisag kaisa wa jud kow napaakan! hahahaha

ako-a kay kadtong grade 6 pako kita ko kang lito fortich iyang mga rott... kita ko sa iyang rott anak ni bruno.. nindot sad to iya rott that was 1997 man ceguro to mao na rottweiler sad ako ganahan karon..

my cousin introduce his american rott to me (1999)....ibog kaau ko....but patay na ang rott nya asta ako cousin.
