ok ra imo purchase bro, at least its better than your current 8400GS 64-bit... although pwede unta ka add gamay and get a better performing card puslan man nilapas ka sa imo budget na php3K...

anyways im contented with my HD 4650 DDR3 even if this is lower than your GT220. jst dont expect so much from this if imo i enable tanan high-quality settings sa games(depende hinuon sa games)

dont worry too much. i salpak na deretso and enjoy your purchase....

    PS
let me remind lang that vram/memory capacity sa videocard has little or less influence on the overall performance sa videocard. the kind of gpu and memory used(DDR3 or higher) are only 2 of the things that influences videocard performance. btw, get a decent powersupply.

    post lang if need help...

Even if your memory reaches 1000gb in the 8400GS video card, that will never run smoothly in that game. When your talking about videocards, there's a lot more things to consider not just memory.

Solution ---> Use minimum settings on that 8400GS to make it run smoothly.
Funny you should mention that. I just dropped by one of the stores in SM and a customer came in saying that he needed something better than his current 1GB Radeon card (probably a low-end 2xxx or 3xxx series) to play Starcraft 2. Now the tech from this shop suddenly suggested to the unfortunate dude that he should get a 1GB Geforce 9500GT DDR2 kay paspas pa ko ni and it's a hot seller with the Internet cafes that they deal with.

    My reaction: ZOMGWTFBBQPWN!?

I wanted to suggest to the customer to get the shiny Palit 9800GT that was sitting besides the 9500gt he was looking at, but I doubt he had the money for that baby, since he mentioned he only had a 3k budget. Poor dude. Didn't want to embarrass the tech, so I left he dude to his own faith.

Moral of the story: Do your research. AND please stop the misconception about having 1gb RAM for your video card makes it better. Always look up the model numbers. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRACKING FRIEND!!!!!

one thing that i could suggest to the thread starter is research a product first before you buy, there are a lot of reviews that could help you in the long run...don't go buying the first thing the sales rep would offer, have a budget that you could stretch a little bit and i will say it again, read reviews about the card that your going for. It's your money. You're better off spending it wisely.

yes, usually dili jud na swito kaayo ang mga tech people ug unsay mas paspas nga hardware. ang people nga swito anang which hardware is faster are usually the enthusiasts. i-compare lang ang mga video cards nga maabot sa imo budget didto sa performance chart. gamit nako ron ati 5850. pero the lowest videocard that i would settle for is 9800gt, you can get a 512mb of that card for 4,500.
