i got my dune copy from a friend who saw it in a dusty ukayukay store somwhere near carbon...my children of dune copy, i lifted from our school library sorry, i didnt mean to steal it...i was so carried away with the story that i literally carried it with me outside school and it was more embarrassing to march up to the librarian and admit my blunder.

i saw an original copy of children of dune movie in gaisano metro and it is sold for only 150 peos, i think...check it out!

I recommend to you guys The Road Less Traveled by M Scott Peck. A very insightful book, at least for me. I consider it my bible for everyday living. Full of wisdom.

Tuesday's With Morrie is also good.

I also recommend The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. Sad kaayo nga story. Moving kaayo.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is okay, but not that remarkable, for me. Still worth reading, though.

The Prophet by Kibran is also very nice.

i'd definitely recommend "VERONIKA DECIDES TO DIE" by paolo coelho. the irony of the characters' thoughts were an insightful.

i haven't read anybody recommending the harry potter series. if anybody hasn't caught on with it, it's not too late to start. i'd say the first 3 books were the best. the 5th book on the other hand, was pretty disappointing.

The Hottest State - (Ethan Hawke)

\" I dont like myself either. I dont know whats happening to me. I dont want to tell you to **** off. But you gotta understand, everything in my life feels different. Ijust want so badly to know if you like me. And I know how asinine that sounds. If you want me to leave you alone, I will, but sometimes...sometimes you meet somebody and you know that what ever you did before, whatever your life was before, it must have been right...nothing couldve been too bad or gone too far wrong because it led you to this person. Youre that person. Do you want me to go away?

    Identity - (Milan Kundera)
And again he had them look at the spot, and again Chantal experienced a slight repugnance at the sight of two wet mouths touching. She recalled hearing that in China and Japan the erotic culture has no open-mouth kiss. The exchange of salivas is thus not an inevitable element of eroticism but a caprice, a deviation, a specifically Western dirtiness.
(this really gave me a stomach ache )
"JUST A WOMAN? Oh honey no!
