Kay lain2x man ang criteria/factors gigamit in each reseacher/s sa ilang research especially kanang surveys so like sa Pilinas we could not expect nga ang dangerous breed sa US would be the same diri sa Pilipinas or ang list sa europe sa ila dangerous breed dili sad magpareha ang result sa US kay lahi2x man ang criteria's gigamit sa mga researchers. Like for instance diri sa Pinas kay askal ang number 1, then sa Europe kay Doberman then sa US kay pitbull or ang husky breed wala sa list sa pilipinas nga research then same sa europe na setting nga wala sad sa list but naa sa US setting so lahi2x gyud ang result since lahi2x man gigamit na criteria/factors pag identify sa breed ngano mabelong siya sa dangerous breed list since ang survey wala standard criteria but rather you will make your own criteria for the research

Street dogs have the LEAST numbers of bite cases sir.. Mostly sa mga bite cases nangahitabo world wide are from frustrated dogs, mostly kanang walay tarong socialization, walay saktong exercise, etc. =) even here in the philippines, mas daghan napaakan og housedogs, compared to street dogs.. =)

(I hope imong pasabot sa askal is streetdog, dili aspin/mongrel. coz in the US alone, chihuahuas and APBT's are the askals.)

gud day.id like to answer that question above...a big YES,because as most (if not all rabies cases & dog biting incidence) here in the philippines,are done by askals/aspins.and in the process,different datas & surveys has been done already by vets to monitor rabies cases.although,their (aspins) bite is not that humongous as the big breeds which could inflict terrible damage,by far & large its dangerous enough,dont u think?but i speak only in behalf of the unvaccinated dogs in general which are rampant here in the philippines & u cnt deny the fact that most of those dogs are aspins who belong to neglectful & 'poverty stricken 'owners.

also one can't include rabies as factors for a dog to be a candidate for the most dangerous dog breed as rabies can be transmitted through dog licks (on open wounds) although which is very unlikely to happen for a rabid dog...they won't lick...they will eat you

and if a gentle dog becomes aggressive because of rabies, the real cause is not because of its "BREED" per se...but rather of the rabies virus....and that's another story. Any dog breed can become aggressive when it becomes rabid.

that could be the main reason why rabies factor has not been included in making up with the list of dangerous dog breed (other than the reason that there is less percentage of rabies case in the States).

....yes,it is.havent u consider the fact that most average filipinos keep aspins more compared to their purebred brethrens?although rabies affects dogs as a one of its primary hosts,aspins are more affected due to the fact that they are the one's mostly deprived of proper care,sanitary living conditions,vaccinations,etc.again,its a mere fact.

...u answer ur own statement...as it is very unlikely to happen whith which a rabid dog goes to u & lick u where ur open wounds are.& just wanted to ad that there are 2 types of rabies reactions in affected dogs.first is the aggressive/vicious form where a dog displays sighns of unprovoked aggression to any object or living thing.second,is the dumb or paralytic form,which the dog is already rabid BUT is not aggressive instead its weak & staggerring in its gait & basically will lie down paralized.

yes it isnt...IN THE STATES,coz they have little or less worry when it comes to rabies due to the fact that either they are mostly rabies free area & or rabies virus has little chance of surviving in their area,as for ur info,rabies only thrive in temperate climates like the philippines for instance.

...i get ur point here.but,i also wanted again,to emphasise that when it comes to bites here in our setting (with no or less fatal wounds)...datas presented points out that aspins as well as unsocialized dogs are of the lead in this incidence.
