unsaon pagtrain ug dala sa pit bull labi na sa bully type? im planning to have 1...
Pit bulls get a bad rap based on misinformation, media hysteria, and lies against the breed. In the United States, there are approx 1,250,000 pit bulls and pit mixes killed each year in the shelter system. The average number of humans killed by a pit bull and pit mixes are 3 each year. The media focuses on those 3 tragic human deaths, but fail to print in the front pages of the newspapers positive news of this wonderful breed. Read below about D-Boy, the 2009 recipient of the Humane Society of the U.S. Medal of Valor. He took three bullets for his family in Oklahoma and still survived! Thanks for the exposure on the media hype and bad press bullies get.

Pit bull, D-Boy wins HSUS Dog of Valor award
May 22, 1:09 PM
Finally… a pit bull in the news for doing what comes naturally to them (no, not dog fighting) – protecting their human family. In Oklahoma City last December, D-Boy came to the rescue of his family during an incident where an intruder broke into the home with a gun and told everyone to get in the floor. Before anyone could move D-Boy, the family pit bull rushed the intruder from another room and ended taking three bullets in his head and neck.
The intruder was so stunned the dog kept up his attack after being shot three times that he turned around and fled the scene. Police arrived and brought D-Boy to an emergency veterinary hospital where he made a miraculous recovery!
Neighbors and strangers from far away donated money to D-Boy's medical treatment making last Christmas even brighter for the Shoemaker family. What makes this story even more chillingly poignant is D-Boy had been rescued from an abusive situation only three months prior to the attack at the Shoemaker family.
D-Boy recently won the HSUS People's Hero category award having won the majority of over 6,000 votes. Hey D-Boy, you are going to give pit bulls a GOOD name! GOOD BOY!
