Guidelines and Mechanics
1. The photography contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers.
2. To join, one must submit a personal data form together with envelope containing photo print and cd with file.
3. Envelope must bear photographer’s name
4. Photo print size: 10” x 15”, with or without border. If border is applied, the actual photograph must at least occupy 75% of the entire print.
5. CD must contain the corresponding Raw Format File and the edited version in JPEG or TIFF.
6. CD with photo files must bear name of photographer.
7. Deadline for submission of entries: August 6, 2010.
8. Photo must bear the following items:
- Depict any attractions of Cebu (landscape, festivals, human faces, delicacies and architecture)
•Photos of person/s must be candid pose.
•Image/photo print may be in black and white, colored or any combination of both
•A photograph that has already won any prize or distinction in previous photo contests will not be eligible for entry. Any photograph that has been exhibited, published or sold commercially (directly, via an agency or intermediary) will also NOT be eligible.
•Applicable digital manipulation tools/editing are acceptable.
9. Photographer may submit a maximum of three (3) photo entries.
10. Top 30 entries shall be displayed in Asiatown I.T. Park, Lahug, Cebu City on August 28 - 29, 2010.

12. Announcement of winners: August 28, 2010
13. Prizes are as follows:
- Grand prize: PhP30,000
•1st prize: PhP20,000
•2nd prize: PhP10,000
•7 Consolation prizes: PhP5,000
14. Finalists and winning entries shall be the exclusive property of Harolds Hotel. All rights of usage shall be reserved to Harolds Hotel. Photo, except for personal portfolio, whether in whole or in part, shall not be used by photographer, for reproduction, publication or sale.
15. HAROLDS HOTEL shall be given full rights to use any winning/finalist entry/image/s for display in hotel rooms and outlets, promotions, advertising, or media projects including and not limited to brochures, print ads, websites, billboards, posters, flyers, tv ads and any other related materials.
16. Photo/image entry with people/person/s must have a signed release form from the model/s providing Harolds Hotel the full rights to use entry/photo/image for use in promotions, advertising or media projects including and not limited to brochures, print ads, websites, billboards, posters, flyers, tv ads and any other related materials. Submit a copy of the signed model release form upon submission of entries to Harolds Hotel.
17. Photographer shall be given credit as often as may be possible.
18. The judges’ decision shall be deemed final and non-contestable.
