"Social climber" is a vague title often used in a derogatory context by those of a crab mentality. Somebody labeled a social climber might be considered (by less jaded individuals) as a motivated person who aspires to improve their standing in spite of their lowly background.

I truly, truly think walay istoryan nga social climber...
Because we istoryans are pretty used through knowing people without seeing the person.
We gauge a person's personality through the posts we make.
So probably walay moreply ani nga thread nga actual nga social climber.
They cannot comprehend people without looking at them, being very very superficial.
Una, mga social climbers don't know they are what we say they are.
I have two sisters, they don't know they are social climbers...
They only know they need what their friends have no matter what it takes.
They don't care that my parents are buried in debt because they can't think about others just themselves. They don't want to ride jeepneys because it ewwww...
They want new clothes all the time because they think their friends will laugh at them if ever they remember that what they are wearing have been worn once. They want to be given cars at least before they graduate so they will not be ashamed in finding a job just simply walking around.
At their 18th birthdays, they planned the party themselves, even contacted catering, venue and everything else, only for my parents to find out short notice a staggering bill to get the party going, by this time they would find out that the decorations were done and invitations have already been sent.
They want to stay at the most "social school" ever. Tagnaa unsa ni nga school...I'm pretty sure everyone knows the answer.
