Buy: Samsung >LG > Chimei.

Don't Buy: Viewsonic > ACER > AOC (especially the super cheap ones)

LCD: Color Accuracy = Photo Editing
LED: Over saturated and rich colors. Slightly deeper blacks, Equal brightness all over panel due no backlighting needed. = for games and movies

If you plan to use your PC 24/7. I suggest you invest a little for your LCD.
as for LED vs LCD, technically they are the same when speaking of PC monitors. No major advantages YET (although color accuracy is better on an LCD, LED's blacks and color appear richer because they over saturate them) except for their panel thickness of course.
So go for a High Quality Brand LCD (Samsung LCD) rather than an Low Quality Brand LED (AOC LED). it will be problematic in the long run.

Try checking famous Internet cafes using LCDs, you'll have an idea how a brand name fairs in almost 24/7 conditions.
AOC have more tendency to have dead pixels and screen flushes (causes eye strain) than samsung far more often.
But generally all cheap models under different brands undergo such, high quality ones just prolong their serviceability.

I beg to differ bro.. Try checking LCD monitors in Jackoona.. Most of their LCDs na samsung daghan problema.. pwerting inita sa likod.. As for me, mas mo salig pako sa high end sa AOC kay sa low-end sa Samsung..

mas maayu if mag testing testing ka sa mga monitors sa PC shops coz in my case it doesnt matter to me what monitor I use coz I will just calibrate it to match with my printed photos.
