PNoys SONA just proved that it lacks substance, pure of allegations, innaccurate and immature.

there were a lot of questionable practices during the previous administration. there is no doubt about that. only an idiot would think that the previous administration was entirely "up and up".

some of those listed as people who were on the previous admin who are now in the present admin are actually the ones who fought back against the corruption of the previous admin. if anyone remembers, during the start of PGMA's admin, people were quite excited and hopeful that something better was coming (we just came out of the erap admin and we were still unaware of how corrupt PGMA was). these people joined the PGMA admin during the time when hope for change was still up. however, when the PGMA admin began showing its true colors, these people fought against it and most got sacked. they're not corrupt.

Mrs. Monsod's opinion is hardly anything to base anyone's opinion on. she's an attention seeker and will play "devil's advocate" just for the media mileage it'll get her.

i entirely agree with you. what the president had to say was about how the nation is faring now. in that context, how could he possibly inject the hacienda luisita issue in it? it's not even a national concern. to do so would be akin to him reporting how he would deal with the issue. he is not supposed to do that. sona is not about the president, it's about the nation's state. and he only needs to report it, heck, he is not even required to introduce solutions in the sona!
