the movie was great because of Scorsese and Di Caprio. This is a novel-based movie, and most of this kind of films are not that good compared to the book, but bec of them, especially Leo's performance, this movie is 9/10!

if i remember it right, the character of ben kingsley said that they have been reenacting/roleplaying with his fantasy/defense mechanism for about two years, and at the end of it, leo would always remember what really happened, but then he would fall back to his fantasy all over again.
