IMHO the zune is better as as a video and music player. the screen and hardware is better and so is the zune software. the IPOD's advantage is the availability of apps, thousands compared to only maybe a dozen for the zune. the deal killer for me is that the zune cannot play flash content on its web browser so no youtube for the zune. and also, nothing major but still worth noting is that the zune does not have external speakers. finally the zunes OLED screen is barely readable in direct sunlight which maybe a problem depending on your lifestyle and product use.

if sound quality is more important to you than apps then go for the zune hd.. IMO apps and intrnet browser ra lamang sa itouch. if you are comparing zune hd with ipod nano, zune hd wins by a huge margin. if sound and video quality is what you are looking for then go with cowon s9/j3. cowon does not have wifi but its audio and video quality is way ahead compared to zune and ipod. very limited ra ang cowon sa apps but its UCI is very customizable..

i had the choice betweed the zuneHD and and ipod touch, and i chose the latter and am very happy with it. i don't care much for apps. imho, apps are just a diversion from what the devices should center on - which is media. hands down, my fave feature is the smartDJ where you pic a song, artist, or album, and the comes up with a playlist with the most related songs.

it has excellent podcast management - audio and video, and the simplicity of the interface is amazing. if you wanna know how a zuneHD is, download the zune desktop software from Zune software, Zune HD players, and the Social | Zune.net and the zuneHD is exactly that software in the palm of your hand.
