How Dangerous is your Siberian Husky?

Guys... just wanna know how dangerous your huskies are, i mean to humans...to visitors... people at the park when you're having your dogwalk.

I'm asking this because in many records... huskies always make it to the top 5 list of the most dangerous dog breeds... you may google it yourself...

never heard of it. Depends ra gyud na sa owner if gi unsa pagkapadako ila dogs or huskies but never had problem with my huskies bisan asa pa nko dalhon cla or naa visitors or strangers. Have you read about their temperaments? Don't ever try to say nga huskies are dangerous I've been with this breed for 4 yrs na and they are very friendly to people and sociable to other dogs. Don't make the public think that this huskies/breed are dangerous. I really hate people who says that siberian huskies are dangerous especially those who dont own one or dont even know what a siberian husky is. Shame on them

i am with you bro...friendly jud raba nang mga huskies.....depende lang na kung salbahis ang iyang owner natural makat-on sad sinalbahis ang huskies....

I am new to the Dog world and to Huskies as well. Huskies in general are not a threat to a human even to kids. I guess the danger part is when they encounter other smaller pets or animals such as cats, chickens, rodents and sometimes small dogs since they have retained a very high prey drive. But some people were successful in raising Huskies with cats. I have kept 3 tom cats at home, but I keep them seperated from my Husky because I obtained her as an adult already, so training her to co exist with them is kind of difficult. A Wolf/Husky Hybrid or a mix with Malamutes or GSD may change their trait but a pure Husky is known for it's Friendliness to Humans and predatory traits towards small animals. Huskies are also very independent which is the reason why they have to be kept in a well fenced enclosure and must be leased when going out for a walk, since they have a tendency of excaping and running very fast and may no longer find their way back home. Their playfulness and energy may cause them to unintentionally scratch someone when they are overly excited to play.

Being a RESPONSIBLE OWNER is KEY to success in keeping dogs regardless of the BREED

i hope you guys are not taking this as an offensive remark
but the point of this thread is for us to discuss whether YOUR husky pet shows some signs of aggressiveness...dangerous temperament.... WHICH MAYBE IS UNLIKELY OF A HUSKY

it is one thing to say when someone asks "how dangerous a husky is"
and it is another thing to claim that "huskies are dangerous"

otherwise i would not be posting this thread...
and also otherwise, huskies would not have been included in the most dangerous dog lists

what i believe is
a dog whatever breed it is, can always be tamed, trained....
but we can never disclose the fact that if a certain breed were BRED to eat a dragon, such breed will always have the tendency to eat a dragon...

Basin cguro sa imo nakit an or nabasahan lng but not base on experience hinoon u could not say that since u dont own one. Because as a husky breeder its an insult to us saying that this lovely breed a danger to people and community. Then your asking if how dangerous? Is it dangerous bah mau na question? Maybe u had rephrase wat u ask if its true that this breed are dangerous to human and other dogs rather than generalizing that this breed to be dangerous.

I am happy that you started a Thread like this, It's something that new owners like myself can learn from and I take no offense about you posting this because indeed you have a reference which is considerably reliable since it's not just coming from one source but several. My Husky do show aggression sometimes when it comes to dominance. She even challenged a big Female retriever by Humping it and of course I was there to correct the behaviour and encourages her to play rather than to fight for dominance. Dogs are dogs regardless of the breed, eventhough there are differences between them they all have pack mentality and dominance conflicts/disputes with other dogs. It's really up to the owner how he/she will manage to bring his/her dog up.

i was actually looking for an explanation as to why huskies are on the top list contrary to what people are saying about them


again again again... I AM NOT claiming or stating a fact...I was only asking....

and just because a person doesn't own one doesn't mean he has no right to ask an interesting question
