    ngayo ko tabang ngano wala man mo gawas ang --proc=5 sa ako conky?? can you check asa ko na sayop? this is my desktop sa office.. newly installed 32bit ubuntu 10.04.. ako nalang g uninstall ang 64bit..

    conky deps..

    sudo aptitude install lua5.1 liblua5.1-0-dev libxml2-dev build-essential libcurl4-gnutls-dev libx11-dev libxt-dev libxext6-dbg libxext-dev libxdamage-dev libxft-dev libimlib2-dev libglib2.0-dev

    compile: cd sa folder asa nimo nabutang ang conky source...

    ./configure {--enable-rss(kung ganahan ka) --enable-nvidia(kung naa ka vc nga nvidia) --enable-imlib2 --enable-lua} <--- options lang ni kung tripingan og butang.
    make
    sudo make install

    para monindot pod ang conky gamay:

    dl: CONKY-colors GNOME-Look.org

    kung kapoyan mo og basa sa source kani sunda:

    How to install
    Go to a terminal and type:

    $sudo aptitude install python-statgrab ttf-liberation hddtemp curl lm-sensors
    $sudo chmod u+s /usr/sbin/hddtemp
    $sudo sensors-detect #answering Yes (default) to all questions, even that last one that defaults to No

    conky-colors installation:

    Download and extract the conky-colors.tar.gz and type in terminal:

    $make
    $./conky-colors --help
    $./conky-colors {kamo na bahala butang unsa mga options makita sa ./conky-colors --help make sure pod sa --cpu=number kung dual core or quad imong gigamit..
    $make install

    try launching conky

    alt+f2 then type conky


    add conky sa imong startup

    type sa terminal:

    sudo gedit .conky_start.sh

    then:

    #!/bin/bash
    sleep 30 && conky; <---- depende pila ka segundo motunga ang conky sa imong desktop

    save then:

    system->preferences->session->startup applications. path to script is /home/pangalan_nimo/.conky_start.sh

    done....

    kanang naka red wala ko ka agi ana.. ang ko lang g buhat kay base sa ako nakat.onan.. yes nakalimot gyud ko ana part kato permi nako e yes ang option..

    thanks.. but still wala gihpn ang --proc=5 --hd=meerkat
    mao ba so ok na karon ang conky?

    ok na,, ang kulang d i nako is ang make install sa kinalasan.. running well..

    ok lang ko kung mo gamit ko ug alt F2 kung mo run ko.. atleast it will remind me to run and use killall para mo quit..

    thanks.. this is a good start.

    more ways of killing:
    1. ps -ef --- awa unsa nga pid ang conky
    kill -9 (pid)

    2. killall (apps)

    3. alt+f2 type xkill para sa nagbinuang nga apps

    you could also use the system monitor to kill an application..

    i think naa na sa Applications->System Tools->System Monitor
