Boot with the XP installation CD.

When prompted, press R to repair a Windows XP installation.

If repairing a host with multiple operating systems, select the appropriate one (XP) from the menu. If you have only one operating system, enter 1 to select it.

Enter the administrator password if prompted.

To fix the MBR, use the following command:

fixmbr

Type y and ENTER to fix the MBR.

Type exit to leave the recovery console and reboot.

nah dako kaayo problema hinoon, ako ni gepa run Super Grub Disk and after a while waman ko kasabot ako ge restart pastilan pag restart kay dili na modetect og keyboard.. unsa kaha ang daot ani oi..atot na ni ron.. help be

sulayi daw e-Primary Master imong new 160gb HD then install ug new windows upon reboot
make sure the pins of the new HD will be set to primary master

helpful ang mga linux tips above pero I don't see the point why you try to fix GRUB if you did not want to dual boot windows with another OS in the first place

wala ko nag dualboth oi, XP sp2 ra gyud ako gamit..coz i bought 160gb hd and then when im trying to slave in my primary hd then restart afterwards kato dayon ang mogawas..ge try nanako sa lain nga pc mao ra japon.

1. Did you reformat the 160GB hard disk that you bought before slaving it to your primary hard disk?
2. Do you know how to slave a hard disk?
3. Did you set the first boot to HDD-0?

nag dili na lage madetect ang keyboard, cge lang blink blink na ron, since pag gamit nako Super Grub Disk na ingon ana na dayon.. maka daot bana sa mobo Super Grub Disk? unsa on naman pod pag ayo aning keyboard para madetech sya, ako na gesulayan og usb keyboard, and wireless mao ra japun..
