You can still pass, they extended deadline to the 15th, I was there yesterday. The more the merrier

If you submit 10 photos x 200.00 = 2,000.00. Plus the cost of printing, the illustration boards and the food.

Expensive for a small photo contest.

who joined? i did not. too costly and workaround for a small, and low prized contest.

nevertheless, the idea of the contest is indeed nice.

I hope you won't judge a contest tungod kay gamay ug premyo.

This is a very good competition and a very challenging one. Benjie Ordoņez (pnoize) was a finalist last year.

I submitted entrieS for this contest... and I say....

    - It's very challenging indeed. More score is given on the food part than the photography skills. I very skilled chef/food stylist with amateur photography background can easily win this contest.
    - Gamay kaayo ang premyo.
    - Mahal ang participation fee.

^^ don't get wrong guys, two hundred is already big for 'me' and mounting it on a costly illustration hard board is another workaround(not to mention the printing, even though not that really huge amount, still counts).

photography contest is not easy & really needs a hard work & thinking, and in this kind, only few/some people have the opportunity to encounter unusual subjects as per with.

winning is priceless and the image/reputation reflects the foundation highly unto you. if only i have the on-the-fly resources, etc., why i shouldn't join? =)

i hope i make myself clear here.

    @ mokiloo

on the other hand, indeed photo farming is frequent nowadays(i believe youve noticed it as well). it may be good to the entity holding it but 'might' or even will produce bad result to other published photographers, specially those who are in full time photographic business.

one doesn't need to be well talented or well skilled in photography to protect his/her with being exploited. if you love yourself, the dumbest and lousiest know-how you can do is very precious to you.

mao na ni ilang way of thinking karon "why pay this single photographer a thousand of pesosssesss when i could just come up with a photo contest and put 5K prize and use all the entrants photos to my advantage... daghan pa ko og kapilian unya makaminus pa ko sa gasto..."

Murag obvious kaayo nga you don't care as a "photography hobbyist" sa mga igsuon nato nga mga "professional" photographers nga mao na ni ang ilang panginabuhi(photography).

what I meant is why cant we just join in in good spirits?
coz everytime photo venues presented themselves there's always some flack flying
I mean most newbies or some are even busting their backs (ok maybe not) looking for venues or shoots.
my point is if mangapil sila then its their asses and theyre big enough to know what coming at them
if na challenged and nalingaw sila joining and competing then it doesnt matter if "NAILAD" sila
still they got something out of it

    just my opinion lang
