^^^ dunno the vigilantes style in cebu, pero ive heard na they are the same people from davao (Davao Death Squad)

pero as what happened here, though justice may be harsh..i can say it really cahnged the mindset sa tawo..they feela lot more secure kay kaalo mi nga maihap na lang ang mag dare mubohat ug kriminalidad..sa sugod mireklamo mi kay ngilngig..then we (not exactly got used to it) but saw the positive things it brought to our city..

haay sometimes man gud..you have to bypass the right way and be illogical to achieve your goals

anyway..sa mahadlok nga masipyat na sila...here in davao..gina studyhan man na maayo sa DDS ang ila target..wala pakoy nadungog nga nasipyat sila kay maski katapad mo dili man ka apilon kay ang target ra may tirahon (ayaw lang pag pa hero kay syempre ma angil pud ka )

    instant death??
    what if giframe-up ka??

and what if youre the one who is fired with these vigilantes where you know you arent the one? how would you feel?

it would be better if it shall pass in lawful process before patyon kay even if e framed-up ka, at least there is still a chance nga ma saved pa og ma clarify pa kay dili man sad ka pasagdan sa imong banay og sa law, kaysa gipatay naka sa vigilante og nagtuwad naka sa dalan, alang-alang man sad nga mosulti pa ka sa vigilante nga dili ikaw og na-aan lang ka nga patay naman.

^^yes, violence begets vengeance, vengeance begets more violence... it is a vicious wheel, it turns and turns and turns and seeming will not stop...

Much like the arguments on this thread between the PRO and ANTI Vigilante fronts...

@To those who are ANTI-Vigilante, please realize that Those who proclaim to be PRO Vigilante side are just like you... we would like to live where Killing doesn't occur at random in the streets in the City we call Home. But for most of us that are PRO-Vigilante, we have been touched by Violence... either we have suffered it firsthand the Danger or have a close relation that did.

For most of Us, to depend on the presence and activities of Vigilantes is indeed an unsavorable solution to the problem of Violent Crime but its the solution at present that appears to be Working...

If there are any other solutions, We would be glad to hear it. I guess all I'm asking from the Anti-Vigilante Front is to please STOP saying what's wrong and START saying What can we do to make it Right...?!

As for me, personally I accept the presence of Vigilantes like I accept the fact that there are Snakes that prowl around my Home, feeding on Rats, Lizards, and other lowlife scum. As long as They stay away from me, I just let them be. I do not condemn nor condone, I'm just living the best way I can....

^^@naz,i believe they do give a warning. Here's what I've heard is the common modus operandi of Duterte's Davao Death Squad (taken from multiple various accounts of taxi drivers, jeepney drivers and squatterfolk... the voice of the streets)

It's a three-fold process. If a REPEAT offender commits a crime again, first warning is a verbal one.. being passed either through a neighbor or a family member to watch out. A second warning comes in the form of an actual confrontation where the Vigilantes give the mark two choices, stay and die or leave and commit crime elsewhere just not here. They even show the bullet to its intended victim as intimidation.

The third warning is an actual warning shot, a very close warning shot which often ends in fatal results. If the mark does not heed these threats oh well, what can the Vigilantes do? They gave the Mark a chance to leave and live but still...

I'm not really certain of the MO of the Cebu City Vigilantes but most people, including journalists in the know, say that they strive to follow the Davao model...

Hey, this is what People tell me... Of course there isn't actual documentation on this protocol... after all, this form of retribution is illegal in the modern law. But if these accounts are indeed true, one may see that these killings are not as summary as one would think...
