ig abot sa mng slr bai practice dayun anang 3 basic elements - shutter speed, aperture and iso.

ila jud na gi stress diri kay kinanglan man jud wai shortcut agi jud ta aning tulo..hehe medyo lisud lang ni sabton sa point and shoot kay dili man ka maka pili sa settings mao libog pana ron but kung nana gani mng slr hinay2x nana.

then practice dayun sa mng exposure. after you learn the basics try reading about ZONE SYSTEM para makasabot jud ka sa metering dako pod nag tabang sa newbies medyo libog lang sa sugod jud.hehe

btw, fast shutter speeds mga 1/250 sec can capture action like mga bata ga dula or knang droplet sa faucet or most sports. slow shutter speeds is good when capturing night shots, candles, and the moon i think if wa ko nasayup kay newbie man pod ko.hehe

sorry, but shooting the moon requires a faster shutter at least 1/125sec minimum, speed and and narrow aperture opening. if you're shooting it a long exposure, note that the moon is also revolving and it may cause your photo blurred.

note that if you are shooting with a telephoto lens without IS, the shutter speed should be equal or more than the focal length. meaning shutter speed should be (1/focal length), or you are shooting at 300mm, shutter speed should be (1/250 or above).

telephoto ideal for nature photography such as bird, wedding, racing car/motorbikes, mga subjects nga dili ka pwede makaduol or naay limitations sa distance nga lagyo dinha ka mo gamit ka ug telephoto. pero sa imong interest nga mag macro ka, pwede ra ka di mogamit anang telephoto.

if you're shooting into sports kailangan ka ug telephoto nga fast focus.
If you're shooting low light with your telephoto kailangan naay IS, otherwise mag cge ka ug dala ug monopod/tripod.

sa imong gusto nga moon imong e shoot, kailangan naa ka telephoto, kundi mag crop ka sa imong image ug dili na ma sharp.
