I see these kinds of threads in every other forum I go to. Simply put, if Kobe was up against something like the "Jordan Rules", he would definitely weep. For a week. As demonstrated in the 2010 NBA Finals: Kobe can't even get past Tony Allen!

Now, before all you Kobe lovers get all butt-hurt, I suggest you go on to YouTube and do a simple search on "Detroit Pistons and the Jordan Rules". That is one brutal defense for just one man.

Fact: Jordan spent over $40K just to get himself physically ready for that type of defense.

lets just stop this guys... its not even worth it... jordan is soooo 1990's. and besides, even kobe admits that jordan is the best player in the world. there are a lot of similarities in kobe's and jordan's game, there are some aspects of kobe's game that is better than jordan's, and there are also aspects in jordan's game that are better than kobe's. but lets just stop comparing. unless we can turn back time...

Asked in July if he could defend Jordan under today’s interpretation of the rules, Dumars first laughed, then offered a long pause before replying, “It would have been virtually impossible to defend Michael Jordan based on the way the game’s being called right now.”
Dumars was the one who made that remark.

Michael would parade to the free throw line on every Bulls possession ug i-apply ang rules karon sa ilaha. hehehe

The rules were changed the minute Stern and top NBA officials noticed no one player was willing to go thru a team's defense like Jordan did bahalag pila pa na kabuok ga-atang diha. Mo-resort na man lang ang mga players karon na mo-itsa nalang sa perimeter ... nya di pa gyud ma-shoot! Scoring went down. Not good for business daw ingon si Stern. The rules now (defensive 3-seconds, etc.) makes life more easier for the offense, and for a more open court where an offensive player would just beat 1 or 2 guys to the basket. Nya inig lusot nya wa ma-shoot pero nasiklan man sa depensa -- foul. Free throw dayon.

Pero admit jud si Michael na ang pinaka-grabe mo depensa sa iyaha si Joe gyud.
