Malapascua or Bantayan island?

yeah for me it's bantayan island mas nindot....lisod mag adto sa malapascua most especially pag hunas gosh you have to ride a small boat then transfer to a bigger one...hassle kaayo sa mga bag pag transfer2x....

ako malapascua. okay naman ang electricity. i preferred malapascua kay mas laid back xa man gud, wa kaayo tao. but kng party people mo, mas gnahan mo sa bantayan.. hee hee...

mahal ang malapascua if adto ka stay sa mga nice beach resorts...ang bantayan island kay nice and beach front, magdepende sad sa resort...so pariha-pariha ra gyud siya sa ambiance

this is a 2nd part of my comment about his thread.

malapascua is excellent for snorkelling especially in the northern and eastern portion of the island where excellent coral reefs still abound. sadly, the south and western portions have been long plundered by the locals who indiscriminately destroyed most of the coral life. diving sites r far off the island which takes about half to one hour boat ride. most larger resorts offer dive tours.

people who go there for the first time looking for socialization opportunity will be disappointed and will never come back. good for us who r true beach bums. we like it most when we see people go about their own business because u cant hear annoying loud chit-chat or boisterous laughter.

btw, ive been there in malapascua twice already despite its distance. am in qatar right now but I vow to return to the island once I get home someday.

I agree. Thanks for sharing. First time I went to Malapascua was 2003 and been going back at least once a year. Summer's the best time. The water is a clear torquise.

I've been to Bantayan 4 or 5 times. Last time I went was February 2008, if I remember right, hugaw kaayo ang beach (stayed at Budyong). We found quite a number of used diapers in the shallow waters Haven't been back since.

But to each his own.
