Holy is a sacred term.. akin to righteous and sanctified. The Pope and the Vatican has withstand waves of sacrileges, even dated to the last Schisms.. where it divided the greek orthodox and the roman catholics...

the POPE is worthy to be Holy.. it is NOT the man behind the cloak your giving your respects with..., but it is the POSITION and the NAME his holding in the Vatican.

After all, Jesus before he climbed to heaven had given Peter (the FIRST POPE) the authority to build the first ROCK (Church), so that man might remember Him by...
