RAM: Issues, Information, Problems and Solutions

bitaw, thats compatibility issue. naa man ubang mobo, ganahan pareha jud ang imong 2 ka RAM (like they should be both single sided, same specs with the same brand). suwayi langpangita kung naa ganahan makipagswap sa usa ka RAM para magpareha na sila. O baligya ang 2, palit ug 2 identical RAM para sure. Maayo diay kay dili pilian ug RAM ang ako mobo, I use 1 256MB DDR2700 PQI and a 512MB DDR400 na kingston and both RAMs are detected.

i had this problem once. I have a kingston 512 ddr400 and a pqi 256 ddr400
both are working well together at 768 total. Wala na detect pag first then gi
plug and unplug nko ni detect man. Maybe e.plug and unplug lang vice versa.
Pero i dont know about starram ha :mrgreen:

Hi! Need explanation...ga add ko ram n mo shutdown lang ug iya specially mag play ko movie n mag cgi na ug error, btw my first ram was 256 single sided ddr 400 nya ang ako g add is ddr 400 double sided 256, does this matter? mao ni ang prob? please help...tnx!

Try testing the new RAM alone, remove your older ram if the problem is still there then its possible that the new RAM is defective if the problem is gone then your motherboard cant handle a mix of single and double sided mems

Sounds like your board doesn't like the combo you're trying. If you try to mix-match rams, some systems become unstable. check your motherboard manual. and check your RAMs using the utility from this site -> http://www.memtest86.com/

Thanks mga bro, mura dili ganahan akong mobo sa ani na combo tngali kay try nako kuha new ram, ok naman cya la na mag error then play ko movie dli na shutdown, thanks again! :mrgreen:
