i find those people hypocrites nga mo ingon nga para sa mga sosyal ang Starbucks pero kusog kaayo mo kaon ug Jollibee, McDo, KFC, etc.

One Starbucks coffee is P100+ for one person only.. Please take note nga P100 can already feed one family..

Pero naka huna2x ba mo nga one value meal (Jollibee, McDO, KFC, etc) is more less P100 for one person.. Please take note nga P100 can also feed one family..

If you are willing spend money for good food, then there are also people who are willing to spend money for good coffee..

i can give reasons why i don't like to get inside Starbucks.

1. check out that flyer that states the CALORIE CONTENTS of their coffee. if you're not health conscious, you really don't care, but care to check the calorie content of your favorite coffee = it's actually equivalent to the calorie content of half a FULL MEAL. add up the size of your order plus whipped cream equals one full meal. hehe. no wonder daghaaaaaaan kaayong manambok anang tigsud og coffee shops. not just starbucks, other coffee shops as well.

2. i'm not a coffee fan anymore. i still love its aroma, maski ang iya lang beans. but i do get palpitations pag masobraan kog coffee. when i was in high school, i got addicted to it. time came nitaas akong tolerance sa caffeine, one cup wouldn't be enough, driving my palpitations nuts. esp brewed coffee! coffees in shops are too strong for me.

3. socialize. im not anti-social climbers. but sagdi na lang sila, it's their move to feel good about themselves. hehe.

4. the price. kontento rmaan pud kos sachet nga kape! hehe if i feel like drinking it ra pud.

5. sauna sud kog coffee shop para mag study out. lol. dim lights, noise, temptations - katuon kaha ko ana? hehe. ang ending nibalik ra kog uli sa balay didto na lang matulog wa pay gasto. hehe.


basta. to each his own. im thinking naay emotional reward nga ma feel ang mga tig adtog starbucks. if you can afford it, why not? drink to your own risk. i remember a classmate who runs to me coz she wants to lose weight. she didn't change eating habits, actually. reason? everyday she goes to starbucks to study and drink coffee. she can afford it, right, but then shodi na lang mag abas kay ang bilbil nang gawas na. huhu

and another one who came to me, mangutang og money and magpauban kay mupalit og kape sa starbucks. i almost told her, WTF?? hehe. i pity those people who feel the need of going to starbucks for the "sosyal" effect.

i think their point is P100 for coffee is too lavish for coffee when people in the Philippines have grown with the coffee in sachets.

but P100 is indeed just enough for a person for a meal if you eat out. we can't argue, mahal jud ang pagkaon sa gawas. hehe.

it's not just about the cost, but it's what you get out of it. peace

Yup! I couldn't agree more. Also, I only grab a cup Starbucks kung wala koy tulog. Para nako works better than ordinary coffee.

Simple lang, ang ganahan sa Starbucks ganahan sa Starbucks. Ang dili di ayaw. If dili ganahan, why take it against sa mga ganahan and bother.

You practice what you preach , are you really a HEALTH CONSCIOUS BUFF ?? Even if you dont watch what you eat at home , you will gain weight .

Again ... its like cutting a tree using a knife or going to the beach in foul weather gear . Coffee shops was never meant as a STUDY PLACE and it will never be . Maybe they can offer a room for a fee but in general it is a place where you can wind and relax .

Same scenario ... pag take out ug pungko2 worth 100 PhP good for 2 and share mo sa Terraces mag yaka mo sa balili . What do you think about it ... nothing is wrong with it but at the same its not right .

I just find your post funny and to all people who thinks that STARBUCKS is a place that invaded the Philippines and na backstage ang malls , cinemas , parks etc .... it is not true . Naa lang cguro dakong kalagot ang author sa naghimo ana because why is that person only talks about STARBUCKS ?? Ngano wala man apil ang BOS ??

Ang mga tao ang ga mugna mugna na ke sosyal daw etc but its not .

Starbucks ang gitirahan coz it's one of the biggest coffee shop chains in the world. visibility wise, maoy pinaka ilado. brand name.

kalma lang mga brad. nasobraan ta sa kape. hehe.
