naunsa naman ning life oi.....
To quote a famous polemicist: "Queerdom in priesthood is an old story". My point is that this is not surprising at all. It's been estimated that 20-40% of Catholic priests/bishops are gay.
ANYWAY, JUST TO KEEP EVERYONE UP TO SPEED WITH WHAT'S AILING THE VATICAN....
What's scandalous early this year was the worldwide report of child abuse/rape cases. Morag global epidemic gud. The most despicable case involved the s-e-x abuse of 200 DEAF CHILDREN in the United States (click here to read that news). Oh My FSM! Hasta na lang ang bungol gi-daginot pa gyud!
Pope Benedict (Joseph Ratzinger) was on the hot seat for several weeks. Here's one interesting fact about Ratzinger (taken from The Sunday Times, click here):
Anyway, the reason why Ratzinger found himself under fire for the PEDOPHILE CASES was his role in the cover-up. Before he became Pope, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger served as prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, during which time he issued the confidential order called Crimen Sollicitationis to every bishop that all s-e-x abuse investigations were to be kept top secret for up to 10 years after the victim reached adulthood...on penalty of ex-communication! Click here to read about Crimen Sollicitationis. Here's a description of that document from Fr. Tom Doyle (a canon lawyer who used to hold a diplomatic position in the Vatican but was sacked after he criticised the church's handling of child abuse), taken from that link:Unknown to many members of the church, however, Ratzinger’s past includes brief membership of the Hitler Youth movement.
and Fr. Doyle continues...Crimen solicitationis is indicative of a worldwide policy of absolute secrecy and control of all cases of sexual abuse by the clergy. But what you really have here is an explicit written policy to cover up cases of child sexual abuse by the clergy to punish those who would call attention to these crimes by the churchmen.
You've got a written policy that says that the Vatican will control these situations and you also have I think clear written evidence of the fact that all they are concerned about is containing and controlling the problem. Nowhere in any of these documents does it say anything about helping the victims.
The only thing it does is say that they can impose fear on the victims and punish the victims for discussing or disclosing what happened to them.
I BET A LOT OF YOU MISSED THIS NEWS A MONTH AGO, JUNE 1, 2010: "Nun Excommunicated After Saving a Mother's Life With Abortion" (click here to read the article). Anyway, I've pasted below the top half of that article.Cardinal Ratzinger, now as Pope, could tomorrow get up and say: 'Here's the policy: full disclosure to the civil authorities, absolute isolation and dismissal of any accused and proven and convicted clerics, complete openness and transparency, complete openness of all financial situations, stop all barriers to the legal process and completely co-operate with the civil authorities everywhere.'
He could do that.
TAN-AWA RA NANG PRIORITIES SA VATICAN. PEDOPHILIA SA MGA PARI, COVER-UP MAN DAYON. PERO ANG MADRE, GI-SAVE NIYA ANG BUNTIS (ALTHOUGH IT NECESSITATED ABORTION AFTER CONSULTATION WITH DOCTORS)...ABTIKA MO EX-COMMUNICATE ANG VATICAN. WALA MAN GI-CONSIDER ANG CIRCUMSTANCE. IF THAT'S THE COMPANY YOU KEEP INSIDE THE VATICAN, YOU'RE BETTER OFF OUTSIDE IT. KUDOS TO SISTER MCBRIDE!Sister Margaret McBride was forced to make a decision between her faith and a woman's life last year, when a 27-year-old mother of four rushed into St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix only 11 weeks pregnant.
"I think [McBride] prayed and prayed and I'm sure that this weighed on her like a ton of bricks. This was not an easy decision for her," says her long-time friend Mary Jo Macdonald.
As a key member of the hospital's ethics board, McBride gathered with doctors in November of 2009 to discuss the young woman's fate.
The mother was suffering from pulmonary hypertension, an illness the doctors believed would likely kill her and, as a result, her unborn child, if she did not abort the pregnancy.
In the end, McBride chose to save the young woman's life by agreeing to authorize an emergency abortion, a decision that has now forced her out of a job and the Catholic Church.
Despite being described as "saintly," "courageous," and the "moral conscience" of the Catholic hospital, McBride was excommunicated from the Catholic Church by Phoenix Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted for supporting the abortion.
Lastly, the most interesting piece of news that popped up in the middle of that child s-e-x abuse scandals was this: "Chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth says Devil is in the Vatican" (click here to read).
Chief exorcist? Hmmm...I wonder which department Father Amorth works in. The mumbo-jumbo department?
Actually, this got me thinking. The Devil is inside the Vatican? So does that make him...Catholic?...just kidding, Catholics. Although I can't blame him for the company he keeps inside the Vatican. I'm sure he feels right at home there. I'm sure he knows its history that's written in blood and burnt flesh. Come to think of it, if there's such a thing as the devil, wouldn't it be stupid of him to reveal himself as the devil? If the devil was smart, he'd say he's God. That way he'll get more people to worship him. Ever thought about that? Hmmm...
aguyyy unsa naman ni oiez hehehe
