    also, why you only have a three-day-replacement period warranty when most stores give seven days?

    i have already investigated in my behalf and here are the results. yes june 4, 2010 you bought a warrantied nokia e71 phone with ntc sticker. june 7, 2010 you returned to cellpod sm branch and complained about the memory card and right then and there we did solve it and you went home. after that we havent heard from you anymore till we read your thread at istorya, yes, our replacement warranty on factory defective cellphones is three days only from the date of purchase and we already met with the DTI representative about it and they agreed that we can provide them with 3 day replacement warranty provided that the nokia care here in cebu will issue a technical report that factory defect is really the problem, right then and there we will replace that. and nokia care here in cebu will not immidiately issue a tech report for replacement if they have not checked the unit for possible mishandling of the customer. i hope i make this clear that cellpod is selling all original with warranty fones and is registered and monitored by the ntc and dti. if ever it is true indeed that your phone has no ntc sticker then i urge you to go to ntc asap and dti and file your complaint there, at least at ntc everything and all angles will be looked into. and most of all, we can invite people from nokia care to be with us and help give their side on this matter. and will meet you there asap. please, before you accuse some store or putting their name in a bad light. please, check everything first or inform us for we can explain everything what we are doing. hope to hear your side sir, if not you can call me directly at my landline 5167269. hope to hear from you soon. thank you very much. more power to istorya.

    When I got home and charged my phone, I noticed that the phone would overheat, and same situation would occur even on normal operations of texting or browsing the web. I returned to the store that Monday (June 7, 2010) and asked for a phone replacement, but they did not honor my claim. Their reason was that it has already passed their 3 days replacement period. I was surprised with their explanation since they had included the day when I bought the phone in the counting of three days, and considering that I had bought the phone at around 8pm which means that the 3 day would be at 8pm on that day (I had a deficit in hours). Instead they asked me to go to nokia care.

    After Nokia has updated the firmware of my device, I'm now facing another problem, the phone would often hang up even when im just texting. Worst, it would suddenly restart itself even on normal operations. I tried to reflash the firmware myself using the software provided on their website but same problem occurs. A few days ago a friend informed me that Cellpod has a lot of complaints even before due to the quality of their phones. I checked my phone and their was not even an NTC sticker attached (Is'nt it that the sticker compulsory).

    @cellpod

    @darklight:

    1.) Is there an NTC sticker or not? How did Nokia Honor it without the NTC sticker.
    2.) When you bought it, did you know there was a three day replacement warranty only before you bought it?
    3.) What is the last say of Nokia Service Center after they flashed the unit? Did you inform them that after they flashed it, it has become more defective?

    good day to you again istorya, yes, i was really wondering why nokia flashed and upgraded the unit if it is not registered and no ntc sticker. even if you ask ayala and sm nokia care shop now. they really are not going to entertain if your phone has no ntc sticker or has no 1yr warranty under nokia. about the 3day replacement, its our company policy and we have already asked the approval of dti about because on top of the 3 day replacement the phone manufacturer offers one year warranty on parts and services nationwide. we will honor if it exceeds that day provided that they will get a full tech report from nokia care that the phone is for replacement. we will replace the phone first then we will be the one who will wait for the replacement from nokia. its really a case to case basis because nokia themselves would have a replacement unit just in case the need arises that the unit is no longer functional or has a factory defect that can cause the buying public great inconvinience. the problem with the complainant is that he or she didnt even go back to our shop after the memory card problem which our tech crew managed to repair it, if the memory card didnt function the next day we would replace it with a new memory card for memory card is an accessory and not part of the manufacturers warranty. if he wants to have that unit replaced then he should have brought the tech report that nokia says for replacement (if there is any) to us then we will immidiately replace it. meaning, if nokia care did not issue any tech report for replacement, then the unit is not fit for replacement but for upgrade which they are tasked to do it while the customer waits. this policy is not only for nokia but also for samsung, lg, myphone, cherry, torque or all ntc registered warrantied phones. i hope i explained it clearly to you guys and if you have any more questions and concerns please feel free to call our hotline at 5167269 or here in istorya. thank you and more power!
