They were all ecstatic on the appointment of Congressman Procy to the top DA post," environmentalist lawyer Sheila de Leon, Tanggol Kalikasan–Southern Tagalog chief, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Tuesday evening.
She said Alcala''s appointment as DA secretary "was one step in the right direction" towards uplifting the lives of Filipino farmers and fishermen.
"The task ahead for him is daunting but with the support and trust of President Aquino, he would surely deliver," Ramil Barte, a vegetable farmer from Barangay Lutucan Uno in Sariaya, said over the phone.

I know he had his own reasons why he didn't appoint any areas for his VP, but I'm just wondering why...
