One criteria of being a true critic? Unbiased opinions. Some people don't realize that. (Don't tell me those opinions above are not biased, maybe some, but most are.)

I'm not a Noynoy supporter, but since he's in the office now, I expect him to try hard (and move heaven and earth, figuratively of course) to deliver what he promised. He can't do it alone though, he needs everyone's help, whether you voted for him or not.

Lets see the scatter nalang ....

If I understood correctly, ang period would be his term. It would also be unrealistic to set a "period" (fixed timeframe) on when corruption would be abolished.

Completely abolish corruption? I agree with you that it would qualify as your so-called "Superman Promise".
But, I'll be optimistic (not crazy) enough to believe that corruption will be dealt with during his term. There will be results, but again, not totally abolished. (Well, if totally abolished, it would be awesome, but then again, I don't believe in super heroes.)

Moreover, I do believe that he won't be a corrupt president. Just give him time to work on his promises.

Be vigilant? Wishing the peso would go down is not what you call vigilant. That's giving up.

Criticism? Calling the president a retard (though he may look like one, at certain angles) isn't criticism. That's giving up too.

The right vigilance and criticism would help P.Noy, keep him on his toes, making him realize we all are watching him, and want results. But the criticisms and vigilance in some previous posts are NOT what they are, sad to say.

What I have is optimism. Even if my candidate didn't win, I'm still not giving up on the country (and the president). If people's outlook now, 1 day after inauguration, is already reeking of too much negativity, how could we help in uplifting the status of our country?

Correct...eradicating corruption totally is impossible coz you dont know where to start. if you start at one point but you dont know others points are still leaking...what made corruption impossible to get rid is that its part of every Filipino, its already a tradition to us and its its an integral part to the most of us...you may not admit it but its true...i dont expect much from him coz it will only lead to disappoinment...i could expect he could be at one point of his adminstration to be clean(meaning not corrupt) but i doubt he could be totally clean throught the span of 6 years given the fact the people surrounding him are not worthy of thrust...

in the end eradicating corruption in a span of 6 years is totally impossible...

actually the speech of noynoy s pretty much simple and short, in other words direct to the point. One instant good sign is, first day pa lang sa iyaha sa malacanang, medyo gilu-agan ang press/media balaod solod sa malacanang(1 transparency). Number 2, all contract workers if was expired last june 30 are extended for 1 month and subject for review, this also include the salary increse. No. 3, DOJ now is forwarding the case ASAP for anomalous midnight appointees, etc. of previous administration which means vanguard or abante dajon.

Hmmm..sounds like naninuod si noynoy. You must behppy guys kay murag makuhit ra ninyo inyong presidente karon unlike before nga TNT...MOST IMPORTANTLY, iyahang pangusgan dayon ang magsasaka/fishermen, direct na to the dealer...Karon kay gipang-anam-anam naman ning noynoy karon asap, unsa na pud inyo yawyaw diha?
