BACK to TOPIC guys,
i've been watching this thread then i remember the title was "ANYONE WHO CAN IDENTIFY A GUITAR IF IT IS AN ORIGINAL JOHN Hu" so heres my take. (also reposted on another thread)
jhu made a Epiphone Custom for a friend of mine & i had a chance of taking some snap shot of it. heres the pic
real epiphone vs. jhu copy epiphone
1. body shape - jhu uses a different template , all of them are "off", see the cutaway horn and the shape near the toggle switch
2. Jhu uses generic bridges, tailpiece, toggle switch & input jack, originals have markings underneath, you will need to remove them to check.
3. cavity - epiphones uses ALPHA pots, jhu uses generics, Size are also different,
4. epiphones have wiring harness
5.the knobs of jhu are inconsistent. The neck pups control knobs should always align to the pickguard screw thus showing a straight line view. the spacing of each knob should also be consistent. on this copy he did align them but i've seen some others which are not.
OT:
hey bryan, how's is it going man? im an alien here lols.
