ASPIN... is there any move to standardize our local breed?

that's why i used earlier the term 'greater' risk or chance... and that is for purebreeds.
whereas for crossbreeds, lesser chance to inherit the disease... according to my readings...

if you breed a dog with known genetic defect, irregardless if he is a pure breed or a mixed one, there's a big chance that that same genetic problem will be passed-on to his/her offspring.

passing genetic traits (good or bad) is not diminished if one is a pure breed or a mixed one. i may be wrong, but thats how i understand it.

i don't have any experience on this... i was only explaining based on my research
and in what we have learned in morality and science subjects...

again... the trait or disease is greater inherited to offsprings whose parents' bloodline is closely related. and that is one of the Cons of inbreeding. but there are also Pros...as we have seen in the video clip... getting the desired physical structure of a particular breed...

breeders, i think, dont only breed for physical structure churva.. well, k2 sa imo example, conformation show man 2.. pro naa sd bya working lines, etc.. i mean lng, apil sd na ila temperament, etc.. pro inbreeding is a big no no jud..

Actually, most people putting comments under this thread, including myself, do not have the expertise and authority to standardizing an Aspin breed; although, there may be some out there. But that doesn't mean we should stop sharing our ideas regarding the said topic. In the end, the greater number of Aspin dog owners belongs to non members of any canine orgs, and less from these canine enthusiasts and scholars. I hope these canine enthusiasts are also Aspin breeders or owners, too. What we are doing here is we're looking at some prospective and positive ways to make the Aspin breed as dignified as any other breeds. If foreigners can be provided with birth certificates, why not for our local dog breed? I'm sure this will help minimize the number of stray dogs in our country, and probably will encourage dog owners to have their dogs vaccinated.

And by the way, if it is our local dog breed that is at stake here... the standardization should also be coming from the local dog breed owners and not from the "international" so to say clubs. The original Akitas; for example, it wasn't the Americans who made its standardization. But then came the American Akita by the Americans...which is very distinct from the Japanese Akitas. But the American Akitas shouldn't be confused and be mistaken with the Japanese Akitas since the Japanese themselves are strict with the standards of their "local" Akitas.

@ilongako: i know i dont have any authority and im not an expert kaso ang thread na ito ai pra sa mga ideas lang..not on books only..im just sharing ideas..if your pissing people by what you just read..plss do read the history first..kaya nga i didnt say that we have standard aspins..konti namang basa dyan sa read sa mga comments bro..wag padalos2x..
and i know that it is not just that local dog clubs and nag.seset ng standardization..im just suggesting that inoder to move this standardization, we need diff dog clubs m.international or local to take part of this..we are just getting suggestions and maybe answer coz pipz are wondering why other have stndardization of dogs and why not us also..dba buttmen??
