CEBUANA makes it to the PLDT WATCHPAD CREW FINAL FIVE
Cebuana Carole Monique “Blinky” De Leon made it in the nationwide search for the PLDT myDSL Watchpad Crew Final Five. The Final Five were unveiled recently at the hip and happening M Café in Greenbelt 4 after a three-month search, online voting and a deliberation by distinguished panelists. Joining Blinky to emerge as the newest faces of myDSL are Jackie Milner, Nikko Ramos, George Schulze and Yassi Pressman.
Carole Monique de Leon is a junior in University of San Carlos and a pioneer host of a well-renowned show. Bubbly 20 year-old Blinky, however busy she is, finds time for her interests. When she’s not in class or on cam, she spends her free time dancing, swimming, food tripping and Internet-surfing. Blinky uses the net for entertainment and to communicate with her loved ones.
George Schulze is ready for anything. Having survived a long battle with Leukemia, he is more than thrilled to get a new head start in life. A freshman at College of St. Benilde, 20-year old George unwinds by playing video games, drawing, acting and surfing the web. He uses the net to update his social networks, get NBA news and currently for a viral video he’s producing to promote cancer awareness among kids.
Jacqueline Milner is a 16 year old who has already achieved what most girls can only dream about: she is now officially a member of the Philippine Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP). A junior high school student at Reedley International High School, professional model Jackie also blogs in her spare time. When she’s not hitting the runway or spilling out her thoughts online, she either reads or picks up a good movie.
Nikko Ramos, more popularly known as DJ Tyler of Magic 89.9, is a young jack-of-all-trades. A senior high school student from University of the Philippines Los Baños, 20 year old Nikko can effortlessly juggle school requirements, DJ work and even time to play basketball. Once a Junior ASEAN ambassador with also already 3 years of radio experience under his belt, Nikko spends his spare time posting his music mixes and graphic designs online.
Yassi Pressman was born to be on stage. A senior high school student from Pleasant Mount School, 16-year old Yassi also loves to sing, dance and even act. Her most memorable moments were her performances on musical variety show SOP. She is now a staple talent at Party Pilipinas on GMA 7. During her free time, Yassi hangs out with her friends or stays at home to surf the web.
As ambassadors of PLDT myDSL Watchpad, more thrilling opportunities await the crew and these include being a part of upcoming myDSL events and campus tours, TV appearances on Eat Bulaga and TV 5, a radio tour on magic 89.9 and being featured on videos. Most recently, they gave guest appearances at MEG’s 7th Anniversary at Amber Ultralounge, The Fort then headed to Club Circa at Eastwood City to witness Amber Davis’ “Fil-Am” album launch.
The newest icons are also the new faces of broadband technology and are set to appear in advertising and merchandising materials of PLDT myDSL to be distributed to over a million households.
