Paint Thinner used to revive dead motherboards?

Ask lang ko kinsa naka suway ani? My friend has done this maybe mga 5 times or more on different dead notebook mobos. I am having a hard time believing it pero tinuod man jd.

Usually ang problema sa mga laptops is mo power ON pero no display, no any activity sama sa CPU fan mo andar or even bisan mo uyug man lang ang sa HDD.

He uses paint thinner on the mobos to clean them up then after it dries they are back from the dead.

lacquer thinner will do better when cleaning mobos. dries faster

then reheat after sa mga contact points..

^^ this could be a break through if these step could fix hp pavillon dv series who had video chip problems..^_^..

not possible dead boards are dead esp when the board chips are fried already, though this is a good idea for cleaning your mobo thinner usually dissolves the clear layer called varnish on your mobo making it prone to short circuit due to dust contacts and etc..
