Avanza or Vios, please help!

Before ko ni post ani, ni search sa ko sa forum nya naabot nalang ko page 20, wa man koy nakit-an. Naa ko nakit-an using the search tool, pero 2009 pa sad.

So akong question is, since i'm planning to buy a car next month, and my choices are between the 2, asa mas maayo? Asa mas better value for money, performance, look, maintenance, etc.

Btw, i'm choosing between Avanza 1.3J 7-seater (613,000php) and Vios 1.3E M/T (685,000php).

Would really appreciate ur opinions! Thanks!

Wala koy isa ani nila pero my friend has, it happened nga permi ako ang kuyog sa ako migo and that ma differentiate nako kng asa mas nindot, i dont have any idea pud about sa maintenance and engine stuff.. ako lng ma contribute is ang performance and looks.. if ako, id go for the vios.. mas condition paminawon ang makina(brand new puro ang vios ug avanza nila), the looks, mas choy ang vios of course.. advantage lng ang avanza sa makasakay kng pila kabuok.. nya between sa ila duha karon, gamay na lng nga stretch sa imoha budget..

bro in my opinion i go for the avanza.

performance? there the same the only thing affecting it is the weight difference.
i think it still has the same 1.3 engine from a vios.
even the same chassis. what do you expect from a 1.3 liter? performance wise you cant force it that much but it is sufficient for day to day tasks and the occasional zoomies when you have to. it's built to be economical and practical.

besides with an avanza you don't have to think twice on bringing stuff and people along since it has enough room for it.

as for the looks. i really dont fancy them both. but if i have to choose on the looks i go for avanza. how bout instead of an avanza you go for an adventure it's only a 100 k price difference on the the lowest model with the perks of having a diesel.
or instead of a vios i would really go for the new honda city.

maintenance. avanza and vios wa man kay problema ana since there are thousands of units here in the philippines. looking for parts is very easy and servicing your car wouldnt be that much expensive. customer service is another story...."so they say".

sa vios ko if ako pa pili-on hehe.. pila mo kabook permi mo sakay sir? if gamay ra mo pag vios nlng... mas nice pud porma vios para nako. hehe.

about sa avanza. ok ra pud siya. nindot pod. kay daghan ma sud... naa pd aircon sa likod. then sa price range. if mo palit ka sa avanza. naa ka sobra pang set-up gamay kay J variant man imo na pili-an

f imo pabor sa ilang duha is avanza then... dont waste money sa avanza.. go directly to innova..

@cj - mahalan ra ko kaayo sa innova boss, ang cheapest nila is 803k, out na kaayo na sa akong budget.

@tonio - ok sad ng city dah, just checked their site and pareho ra diay price ilang entry lvl with the 1.3E sa vios, i'll check it out more. Pero di na nako kaya sad ng 100k nga difference sa adventure, out na sad sa akong budget

@ite - usually, 3 ra mi kabook. Ako, akong wife nya 6 yr old baby namo. Usahay mokuyug ang mama sa akong wife, so 4 na mi. Diha ra gyud na kutob among number kay di naman pwede mapun-an among anak. Unless manganak sad akong kabit

One more thing, i've been on Avanzas couple of times and it seems a bit shakey. Mao sad akong nadunggan sa uban. Also, naa ko kadula ug tong-its nga naa nag work sa Toyota, naa sila sa maintenance, ingon sya.. daghan na daw syag naayo nga mga Avanza, kasagaran daw sa iyang nakitan, dali ra daw ma taya ang mga parts.. forgot asa to nga parts, ako nyang klarohon. Anyways, unsay inyong opinion ani?

Fergeboy taga toyota na baya na ni ingon... pasabot ana pa papaliton naka ug honda city.... i-vtec technology is great then ang design sa engine bay very lu.ag... go na for new honda city....

go for vios boss...3 raman kaha mo kabuok..pero in the future bacin mausab imo needs and a type of car murag safe daan ang avanza kay 7 seater..but for the looks ill go for vios specially the new one nausab gamay...and if you dont mind inquire about the city coz its also nice ang vios taxi pero ok ra gihapon na...
