    Default PC Strange Symptoms

Day 1 - Lost monitor display while playing simple game, reboot resulted in CMOS checksum error. Another reboot says memory error. Removed 1 stick (I have 2) and rebooted ok. Put back removed memory stick, rebooted ok again

Day 2 - No boot, no monitor display. Reseated graphics card, shutdown and reboot ok

Day 3 - Playing Civ4, cursor sticks to side of screen, game exited using keyboard. Reboot produced cursor which moves at first then gets stuck to side of screen again. Shut down and reboot, ok napod.

Specs: Athlon XP-M 2400, Sapphire 9600 Pro, 2x256MB Kingston value ram, Maxtor 80Gb HDD

    Any suggestions please?

Thanks for the reply guys, really appreciate them. PC passed overnight memtest. HD checks out well. File system check is ok. Will try 3DMark03 tonight. Am suspecting maybe corrupted drivers but don't know how to check or even pinpoint which one. Device drivers in My Computer properties do not indicate problems. How do I check for OS corruption? @EarlZ cpu idle 43C load 47C PSU Enermax 460W Voltage rails 12.22, 4.92, 3.36

Motherboard make and chipset? Tried using swapping your computer parts with something else (your memory sticks on a different motherboard, etc.).? Overheating graphics card? Tried using a different graphics card? Removed devices in the PCI bus? Tried resetting the BIOS, or upgrade to the latest BIOS version? Checked for faulty IDE/SATA cables? Tried reformatting your OS, start from scratch?
