I just did a stupid thing this pm, I downgraded my VISTA PC to Windows XP SP2, successful ang installation, the problem was I could not use the internet. It says it is connected, but 0 sent and 0 received, so naay ni block? Can anybody help out unsaon ni pag solve? I tried to plug and unplug again the broadband cable, naa ra may internet sa pikas na PC , only with the one na akong gi downgrade. Asa pud ni nato ma pa tan aw para ma fix? Thank you.

have u installed the correct driver for your ethernet controller? if yes, so try to use an auto obtain configuration of your ip address. hope it helps!

please issue the following command (DOS prompt)and post the output:

ipconfig /all
netstat -rn
tasklist

TIPS:
Downgrading from Vista to XP will often cause such problems
because the drivers for the hardware are not native to XP, and
the XP CD does not hold them.

You have to find some other way to get them, perhaps download
via a relative or friend's computer, copy them to a CD and transfer
them across.

All drivers, motherboard included, will be needed.

May be the xp version you got may be not supporting the LAN card
you got on vista. Perhaps, get a new LAN card which is supported by xp.
