The topic here is about preference and not skills and talent. Strat or Tele? Skills and talents is another subject you can talk about. Sadly havent seen much talent and skills lately. Only a handful that i've seen and heard in Cebu's music scene. All I can say Skills and Talent coupled with good gears will yield tremendous results. I believe that a guitar you really like to play will help you become a better musician. Its about some kind of connection or affinity to it.......

duh, I've posted mine post#20. pffft about your post, doesn't matter if you are equiped on the average. its how you USE and experiment on your gear not all "tremendous results" equate to "skill + talent + good gears". experimentation...word.

i like the way your thinking, 6STRING. Â*:mrgreen: mine's a strat, and to tell you the truth, i haven't tried tele yet. strats have a lot of models/series from different guitarists. i like sambora series, if you like blues, you have the SRV's.

a) As far as im concerned,Â* every little thing matters.Â* That is what would separate the great players from the mediocre.Â* Attention to theÂ* little details. Everything you said plus mine and more..... but again,Â* that is another topic

b) It's like telling Eric Clapton to play a cheap strat copy. I'll guess He look at you, smile and politely decline. He would prefer a Fender Custom Shop Strat or one of his signature series strats. And there is a reason why...... This is a lesson to be learned.

Yes, they have a lot of models. Its a variation of the same theme. What's so nice about the strat is that, it's the most modifiable (if there is such a word) guitar in the planet. You have a lot of pick up variations you can install in the guitar, tremolo and bridge options, pickguard options, tone pot options etc etc. Tele mods are kinda limited.

i think they re the same. the both are single coil equipped guitars that are just wound differently. except cguro sa thinline nga tele.

but yes para sa subject, i prefer a strat than a tele.

i do have a strat copy, i changed all the pickups nga naka stock niya to a combination of seymours and a dimarzio. but naa lang gyapoy usa ka single coil (nindot man sad jud ang bell-like tones niya) though it does not hum kai dont like the hum sa mga singles..

OT:
I wouldn't be so sure bout that coz afaik even Billy Joel would play even his retired "cheap strat copy". hahaha. that my friend is pure talent. and no musician would turn down even the soggiest of instruments. they'll make your "cheap strat copy" sound like a million bucks. word.

anyway, we're getting OT here. lol
