installation of OS is possible, ana si TS na partition, format, copying of files success.

Here is the complete details.
BOOT CD: windows xp sp2
seagate sata 1tb

partition, format, copying of files success after reboot. turns black screen and shows a message about device settings.

dli ba kaha corrupted imong xp cd? are you using OEM? try pud daw lain installer. kung naa kay xp sp3 mas better.

but try daw set ur SATA ports in bios to IDE or SATA only... not RAID or ACHI(mao ba ni?) something..

try daw ni bai

boot using xp install cd or win 7 install dvd

go to repair section nya select command prompt

then type the ff:

DISKPART

LIST DISK

SELECT DISK X (X = Disk nmo na 1TB)

CLEAN

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

SELECT PARTITION 1

ACTIVE

FORMAT FS=NTFS

ASIGN

EXIT

EXIT (to close command prompt)

nya f xp disc imo gamit just go back sa main xp install screen nmo nya select install

if w7 disc imo gamit just replace w7 disc with xp disc nya restart ur pc. then proceed install sa xp.

if this wont work ghapon i.split nlng imo 1TB into two partitions. b4 ka install sa XP

Naka install nako mga bro. using a special XP cd na ako na download sa internet. Ang name niya kay XP sp3 SATA.

hmmm... if mao ni sya na nid pa ang SATA drivers, na ako paagi ani but im not sure if allowed i disclose diri.

tell us nalang unsa imo motherboard na model, or if gusto ka txt or pm me aron manihuon na dha sa inyo during weekends, if u want to.

unsa mana nga specialla nga na successful man ug install. hahaha. still wla japon na klaro kung unsay problema paguna, ako tanaw kay either corrupted imong xp sp2 or dli jud pwde ang xp sp2 in your system h/w config OR wla nimo gi-disable ang sata feat in bios setup thats why ni work ang xp sp3 with sata drivers. anyway, glad to hear na mission accomplished na. hihi

pre, turns out na ang iya blema is kailangan na ma install ang iya SATA IDE drivers during the installation phase, remember na naa part sa installation muingon sya na Press F6 blah blah blah... since kani na procedure sa floppy raman mangita sa drivers, naa uban install CD, like iya na DL na WinXP SP3 Sata na gi slipstream na ang necessary ide/sata/raid/scsi drivers aron d na mangita sa drivers during the installation phase.
