naa sad ko mga amigo nga ila lang gicheck-in ilahang LCD ug giwell packed lang nila, so far ok man daw pag abot nila diha pinas and I'm planning to do the same sad.

@kennex bro lahi man na ang lcd sa laptop gud kay naa man gud na naka connect na wire ug flex connected sa unit jud compare sa lcd lang..or stand alone lcd kay kong ma damage lisod kaayu ayuhun unlike sa lcd sa laptop kong ma damage ilisan man jud ang entire unit na lcd mao na dili kaayu lisod kong madamage ang lcd sa laptop kay replace man jud bago na lcd!!!!!hehehhehehhe

ok ra na basta gikan gawas basta with the original box and foam, kay ako nakita sa international na carrier ila mna i file ug sakto dn gisealed ang trailer box(SAKTO BA), perog lokal carrier na gani mga bulay og, just like what happen sa karga sa foriner nabuak ang liquid sa sulod nanimahong ipikasent

it's true. as long as naa pa iya original packaging it will be fine.

i bring my pc with me when i travel, its been to manila to cebu and bohol, and in fact my shuttle sn25p xpc survived the trip from cebu to the u.s, im using it ryt now as i type. so long as you package it reasonably well. the original box offered great protection. i placed the pc in its original box and then placed it in a bigger alisbayan box surrounded by clothes and all my other stuff. if you really think about it, most products-electronics included, travell a long way from where they were built to where we buy them.. heck i even once brought an aquarium with me from the states to the philippines..i surrounded it with paper towels and filled the inside with clothes and other soft stuff, one side did break though, fortunately i was able to have the damaged side repaired for a very reasonable price at colon...hehehe..
my point is it is perfectly fine so long as you package it sensibly. if an aquarium can survive reasonably well, theres no reason your monitor shouldn't. as additional proof, my sister's pc also came from the us, she ordered it from tigerdirect over the net and had it delivered to my mom's house in california where my mom placed everything in a dhl box and had it shipped all the way to bohol where my sister lives, everything survived fine, including her 17 inch acer lcd.

and you might want to check your monitor first before you ship it just in case it was already not working in the first place

as a rule balikbayan box get thrown around a lot..... although its cheap $70-90 from US to the Philippines door to door.....

i already experience having things get broken when it arrived.......

so just watch out.....

Fragile labels don't get any respect at all...... so insurance will help.....

my mom had some antigues shipped from italy and it got broken.... good thing she had it insured..... that was with a fragile label already......
