i agree! IMHO, you're not worthy calling yourself "PHOTOGRAPHER" anymore if you are more dependent on post processing.

if ur into real photography then go for the lens, if ur more on image processing / PP then go for photoshop.
if u can do both, much better

if true, I will sell my photography gears, buy the best and fastest computer and just use a cellphone camera

I doubt naay maayong laki maka kopya sa bokeh or dof sa mahalon nga lenses thru photoshop.

85mm f/1.4 = photoshop? Di mada oi.

on second thought... photoshop is a very powerful tool, and I think it can "ALMOST" duplicate the effects of what a lens can do... but with many months and perhaps years editing on it... and such a waste of time and maybe perhaps after the editing is done, he/she must have missed alot about photography

yeah you can do bokeh on photoshop using lens blur. But imagine doing that for 200-300 pictures for a wedding.

my opinion, if bokeh lang imo giapas, i think photoshop (never under estimate the power of photoshop ^__^) can duplicate those naa sa pic but not the sharpness of the images if you'll examine it closely and it will take you time to edit those things..

if nahan gyud ka ug photography, go for the lenses.

if your into image manipulation, buy a P&P cam at least 3.2 or 5MP up. then practice with photoshop CS5 ug lightroom 3.

Your friend is not a photographer he/she is a photoshoper and there is a big difference... a very good photographer told me, in photography, to "DO IT RIGHT THE 1st TIME" and blowing more time in PS than taking GOOD/GREAT pictures is not the right way.

Gamay raman difference on price between a license post process software like photoshop ug mahalon nga lens. Or labot sa istorya ang pirated softwares ani?

para nako mas nindot ug original lenses.... but if wla kay lenses nga mahalon nga naay 1.4 to 2.8 aperture? then patabang jud sa photoshop.
