Looking for fellow players of GRAW, CMR2005 & TOCA Race Driver 3 (PC)

I dig CMR04 on my PC... is CMR05 any different? I've kept myself from buying it because from what I know, the original game disc for CMR05 has StarForce on it.

In CMR04, I've completed 2WD & 4WD Normal/Advanced.. currently working on Group B and soon Expert mode. On the more difficult parts of the game, I've come to appreciate the beauty of an analog controller (for braking and accelerating).

More races and more cars in CMR05. Championship mode is your standard race where you take the wheel of Colin Mcrae. I like the career mode where you can take on the different rally events. You can only progress IF and only IF your racing points reach a required number to play the next step in the ladder. It impresses me that those SUVs actually get better times than the cars. hehehe...

Don't expect too much from the Toca 3 Rally since it's basically just a stripped down version of colin mcrae. No sense in competing against their own flagship products.

OT:
I believe all 3 games I've mentioned use StarForce and in spite of all the negative feedbacks regarding it I have NEVER once experience the so-called crashes or hardware problems described. I've read Starforce has offered a reward to anyone who can give the exact steps to reproduce the problem. So far not takers. And this was no small fee. As far as I can remember it was worth the price of two new rigs with good specs.

Plus the fact that the majority are westerns complaining about it makes me wanna give it the benefit of the doubt since these folks complain about EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING. DI man kaayo ta tig reklamo kai naanad naman ta walay paki ang mga tindahan nato.

^ Starforce made an offer...but they did not make any further comments after UBISoft was sued for Millions of US$ due to "Starforce".Â* Even the Editors of PC Gamer & Maximum PC got issues w/ Starforce.

Due to that Lawsuit & Low Sales, Ubisoft pulled the plug on Starforce.Â* Sales Reps in my local Electronics Boutique will warn buyers about games that have Starforce.Â*

Last OT: I believe their complaints against Starforce are legitimate, since I don't hear a lot of complaints from SafeDisc (Macrovision) and Securom (Sony, well except for their audio CD rootkits...).

BTW, tokidoki, are you playing CMR with a PC, and with an analog controller? I may consider getting one, since Expert mode is extremely frustrating.

i use the Logitech MOMO racing wheel. kinda gets you in the feel of things. Especially when playing NFSMW.

OT: regarding what you said about the alternatives. you don't hear them get complaints coz everyone's crackin and bypassing them. LOL and that's why SF is all over the place. Sadly nobody likes the way they implement security.
