Whats is "generic"? If for example asus, gigabyte or msi motherboards, considered ba ni na generic? When do you consider a pc generic?

Most of the branded..dli ka seguro gud becoz of the computer technician nga nag maintain anha...nai tendency nga minaro an ka nila...technician knows about it ...pero ikaw as a buyer mo ingun gud ka I'll go for it kay branded pero u never know what is in the inside of cpu nga gi panga gamit na hardware clone ba or di....

I'd prefer DIY. You get to choose and hand pick your own parts and even customized it further.

if noob ka about pc's or wala kay close friend nga sweto (dili nang feeling sweto), mas maayo branded imong kuha on kay basig ikaw ray mag problema kay dili compatible or lipat2xton ka sa salesman unya tagaan ka og parts nga mahal unya bati.

guys which do you think is better and cost effective? assembling your own PC or buying branded ones.

I've tried the buying branded PC last year 2000. it was for me the best PC money can buy at that time. it was a custom biuld PC by DELL computers. I ordered it in the US. cost me around US$10k but now its still works but its worthless now. also when its memory got busted it took me a month to get a replacement since i was not able to find any available rambus in line memory modules here. I'm planning to get a new PC so I'm thinking assemble my own or buy again a branded one.

i worked for Dell and I dont see any line of products that passed 5k. i just wonder what kind u've got?
