web service problem

sort of ERP xa na software na nakainstall sa remote na pc..kato na software kay naay mga web services..dapat ko moconnect ato na software..or somewhat be able to access some of its web services..

Study and understand first the API for that software, how it exposes data to a client application, mostly its an XML, then you study how you're going to use/access those data from your client application...if you're gonna write your own(e.g using PHP) then study how PHP access and handles data from a web services...

you're just making things complicated. can you just show your codes and specify things clearly?

eg.

you will not understand the entire process unless you will tackle down its concept. try to gather some resource, charts, images to help you visualize the complete communication process.

So naa na diay existing nga Web Service? and you are the web service CLIENT?

If that's the case, then you need to know the "endpoint(s)" for that Web Service. For e.g: https://<blah>:<port>/<blah>/<blah>?wsdl --> sorry don't have one in mind right now

If you have that na, then you need an API to create client objects/classes for your WSDL / endpoint. For e.g.: Apache Axis2

You can use Eclipse or Netbeans or what not, to generate your web service client classes.

Once you have these client classes then it's pretty easy to consume the existing web services.

This might be a little tricky at first but you'll get it.

So the first thing to do is ask, whoever is maintaining the Web Service, for their "endpoints".

Web Service is "XML in & XML out". Meaning you send XML data to the Web Service server and expect XML data as return.

SOAP makes it easy for you to not have to format your data into XML but instead you can send Objects out and expect Objects in return. In Java there are 3rd party libraries we use like Apache Axis. In .Net I'm sure naa sad.

These libraries will take care of formatting/converting your Objects to XML so dili na ka maproblema ana.

Basta the concept is "XML in & XML out". If you're in the .NET platform then search for examples of code and try to find out what API you can use. You don't have to create your own classes to do this.
