dako jud kaau ni impact sa ato economy dire.. as entrepreneurs, we know we'd lose a lot of potential customers n clients.. daghan na pud kaau unemployed... saon nalang ni?.. kung wala disposable income ang mga tao, mas gamay halin ang mga negosyo...

dba dire sa cebu, dako kaau income nakuha gikan sa mga callcenters? and kung huna2xon. daghan baya agents.. saon nalang kung reduced to 75% or below, dako kaau damage...

as what i read what they will do is to charge 25c per transferred call as stipulated by the bill. so most likely ang mga tech calls would least be affected by it, for example 15 minutes ang average call, it would mean 4 calls an hour or $1 additional...pero kun regular customer service, na sila that takes 10 calls and up that would be $4-$6 additional...big impact jud na cya kay it would mean that we would be at par with them, at $6 penalty + $2-3 per hour na sweldo, thats 8-9 hours per hour, which is the current going rate for their employees there.

what usually would happen is that they would start putting customer service premiums...they would start charging their customers for calling.

Daan pa jud ko na mahitabo jud ni sa mga call centers. Ayay! ang stocks ani. We are living in a fast changing world to help families reach their financial goals. Fast changing world requires changing solutions. A little news somewhere, a little disease can affect the stock market of the world because we are living in a smaller world now.

This is my future forecast, in the future the corporate world industry will be replace with free enterprise system because of the very fast business transaction. Traditional business will be gone because your competition is direct.

New System
Source -> (Outsource-Distribution Channel)(Cuts Cost, no Fixed liabilities) -> client


Old System
Source -> (Marketing Department -> Employees)(High Overhead expense, Fixed Liabilities) -> client

hehehe.. nindot nga idea nga dire sa business nako ni gi post.. kung naa pa ni sa current events section, di ko expect intelligent answers

so mahitabo is... (as like what you guys posted).. mo mahal jud ang services? so whether i outsource dire sa pinas or didtu nlang sa america, same ra ang rates? or mas probably mas cheaper didtu?

and also we have to consider other factors.. naa bya jud ng descrimination.. i dont think many americans would like to know that there calls will be transfered to some indian or filipino...

so we will expect nga daghan jud ma jobless ani.. tsk tsk tsk... dako kaau ni impact sa ato economy bah... mas less ang buying power sa mga tao.

as i pointed out it would almost be the same, but...the question is...will american company find competent individuals to do those jobs that we do here? i mean, for a financial services customer rep, the going rate is about $12-15.why because you need brains to be that kind of rep? apparently americans dont have that much. if they do they would demand a lot...so its much cheaper still to outsource. now what happens, if its really not an important, like order taking, then that would be the case that it would be better for them not to outsource...

Propose pa na bay. And the call centers are willing to make concessions if ever. Each agent they get around 75k. and they pay around 15-20k, so the room for concession is there. however, If madayon ni the problem is naa ba option ang client to refuse to get connected overseas. Sa initial proposal wala man. Pa kurat ra ni sa industry but after ana it will be back here. This is a multibillion dollar industry. Even in the US, money talks. Lobbyist will kill this bill. In reality - there are not much US counterpart that can match the patience of indian or phillippine agent. This will get a backlash at them. Big companies having support issues will shorten the warranty and support. So they need to balance it. at the end of the day, it will be business as usual.

Guys, do you think this amount of call center bubble here in the Philippines would last for say 30 years?

call center will eventually go back to what its used to be...

Major US clients will be dealing with US agents...

all the minor stuff will be outsourced... no big deal.

if price competition ilang basehan, they could always go to peurto rico. base sa akong friends, kita na sila daghan ads sa US about hiring call center agents. Compared sauna, unusual kuno nga pirte kadaghan sa ads from newspapers to bus stops to billboards.

sa kadaghan2x sa tao sa america its impossible nga wala competent didtu.. pila ra man gasto sa pagtrain.. and considering they dont ahve to study the american accent.. nka train man gani ato country pila ka nurses, sila pa kaha.. given the right incentives and considering nga taas au unemployment sa states.. di na sila arte arte ngita trabaho...

ang sakit sa mga kano.. di lang jud sila ganahan mo himo sa mga "dirty jobs".. in short mga tapulan. hehehe pero sa kalisod sa panahon. ngano kintahay pili2x pa sila...

sa ako na notice sa america karon. murag nibalik na pud ilang pre-world war 2 mentality nga isolationist kaau.. they prefer to keep to themselves.. immigration was just the beginning.. we could be losing space on the american market...

this is going to be very very bad for businesses.. daghan2x baya pud mga clients/customers nga call center agents...
