if properly designed, skywalks are useful...
the problem is, most are made with steps that are to steep for the elderly and children to climb.
the sidewalks where the stairs land are too narrow, so one has to walk on the road already to pass.

the problem is compounded when politicians use these structures as personal billboards...
plus the s.o.p. kickbacks for them...

i would also like to add, has anybody noticed that there is always a major infrastructure project every election time... flyovers, every election...

the timing and the obvious ill-conceived planning really irks me.

what do you mean by properly designed? bati gyud d i kaayo ang SKYWALK?dili man guro tanan steep kaayo depende man guro nas lugar...btw, sa mandaue ra ba imong gipasabot o sa tanan?because mandaue man ang among gipasabot diri...naay steep pagkabuhat tungod kay ang sidewalk gamay raman pod niya ikaduha ang mga tindahan nga gagmay matabunan morag lain man pod seguro tan-awon...

i don't believe that all skywalks will be furnished with escalators ... i'm sure only selected areas will be ... to encourage the use of skywalks is ... definitely SAFER for all ... ... the addition of escalators to these skywalks will make it easily accessible and SAFER ... especially for children, the elderly and the disabled ...

para nako ok kaayo na for sure mao napod na ang laing reason nga nangurakot lang ang goberno...hehehehehe....

kung kahibaw palang mos nahitabo sa mindanao makaingon mo nga kung grabe diri sa mandaue unsa na kaha ang ubang part sa mindanao...

during barangay election in sulu ang hatag sa mga taw didto gamay ranang 2k....pagdaug sa kapitan 1st year road project worth 5million 5 kilometers....2nd year worth 5million 5 kilometers same road (hehehehe...paita)....3rd year 5 million 5 kilometers same road lang gihapon (samot kafaetz)....kalsada lang ni akong gihisgutan ha wa pa ni labot sa uban....mao nay kurakot nga grabe pero kanang 10% discount morag dili kaayo nako na hatagan ug gibug-aton kay mamawi baya na sila sa ilang gigasto sa election....

but diri sa mandaue kahibaw ko naa ang kurakot pero when it comes to SKYWALK ako pod silang labanan kay dako kaayo ug tabang ng mga SKYWALK diha bisan pa ug ang mga taw walay disciplina kay ang mga motorista nig kakita sa SKYWALK mo menor man gyud sa ilang dagan...naminus gyud ang mga accidente anang mga lugara tungod sa SKYWALK bisan dili kaayo gamiton sa mga taw nga walay disciplina...
