show quality???

sir elars / sir lamangzz...thank you, i know we all agree so far na even having HOF,GR CH, Ch parents can not guarantee all show quality pups, but why is it, kini sad na mga breeders, dili sila mawagtangan og champs, dili gyud ma-zero ang breeding, does this contradict what we have established so far? so maybe it's the genes/lineage? got confused...

why? kay would you rather use pet quality foundation stocks? nope, right?

lest we misinterpret it, yes it is not an assurance that titled dogs will always produce quality offsprings, HOWEVER, the percentage of them producing such quality is BIGGER and definitely GREATER than having to breed PET quality dogs.

as they say, if you start right with a good foundation, chances are, you'll be able to produce good quality litters. if magsugod ka'g inferior quality foundation, aw dili jud ka ka-asure nga ang tambis mu produce ug mansanas nga mga pups, if you get what i mean.

depende na sa ila breeding programs if they stick to line breeding or cross breeding. As wat I've said naa probability but not an assurance nga produce show prospect pups. Mau btaw na ila na e breed to different males ang females kay try nila if this breeding will produce show prospect pups kay not all breeding(chmpion pair) moproduce pero naa sad usahay produce show prospects

yes, not all... thats why also, breeders (i for one), shun the red marks/green marks references... a dog may have 30 red marks but for all you know, that particular dog is a product of heavy and very close inbreeding.

imagine, if good quality and champion dogs gani dili assured magproduce ug ideal litters, unsa pa kaha ang mga not-so-nice qualities nga dogs himuog foundation stocks? mao na, it is always better pa gihapon nga magsugod ug ensakto nga mga dogs para i-breed.

its not only the genes but how u raise the pup... the food they eat.. the training and exercise... even if litter pa sa both grand champ f dili maayo pag ka raise la yapon silbi... kay even if dili champ ang parents as long as maayo ang pagka raise naa gani mahimo og champ

in like manner, a bad quality dog will almost always produce bad quality litters. almost always. nay panagsa masipyatan maka produce ug nindut but its like hitting the 6/55 lotto jackpot, one in several millions. besides, pet quality dogs are not supposed to be bred na gani... breeding them wont make any improvements on the breed. standards is always "breed to improve the breed".

if a good quality pup turns out to be bad because of some factors like poor raising conditions by the owner, then its another story.

kung mag breed man galing para kwarta ayaw nalang pag breed.. ang point sa breeding kay pa improve sa breed.. mao naay mga breeder nga show quality ila mga pups kay gwapo sila ug foundation dayun maayo pagka atiman ug wala jud sila nag breed sa mga naa naay faults.. mao pud mahal ilang show quality puppy.. mu baligya ang uban sa mga dili nindot pero kapnon ug dili ipadala ang papers..

being a show winner, will it follow that the dog/pup will always be "functionally sound"; pardon my terms used, I do not know what to use. sorry for the confusion, what i mean is that, a show champ GSD can do well its purpose like guard / protect, being obedient / good temperament? or will it depend how it is being brought up, well in this case as a show winner....

i hope im getting you right bro... are we talking about conformation show titles here? conformation shows determine winners more on their proximity to the breed standards.. "functionality" may not come into factor... emphasis on the word "may" as i myself not sure on this aspect.

@ sir ironwood, yes conformation title sir, closer to the breed standard??, when checking over the net about breed standard, apart from the general physical appearance, it has also mentioned it's temperament, etc.

i used an example of a champ GSD...

well if it is different, that the conformation standard (w/ title) is not really a 100% picture of the breed standard, then I was wrong with my assumptions "through reading only not by experience".
