when i want to assure somebody, i dont swear. because promises for me are really meant to be broken. naturally, i break all of them. but when i need to do something else and i ned to assure some people about it, i just tell them i dont swear.

No promises that won't break, it surely will. It will be much better if you don't have to promise but consider it as an obligation that you would do it.

people who go for obligation/responsibility per se will always have bigger chances of fulfilling it rather than sticking to promises.. or all talk should i say.. it can also be a mix of both..
