OK ra kaayo bisan unsa itaod nimo sa router as long as dli nimo i mess up ang configuration nga gihatag sa globe, kay labad kaayo kung mag trouble ka, inig tawag nimo sa hotline, puro dli kamao ang motubag, basa lang sa ilaha script, what I did is just to tell them nga ipareset ang amoa connectoin.

Ooops nasaag na sa topic, just make sure ang imo router has different default IP address sa router provided sa globe ie.

    GLOBE 192.168.1.1
    HOMEROUTER 192.168.10.1

Ive been doing it for a few years w/ plan 1999 with 6 connection sa amoa silingan. Were only paying P333 per household.

    basic setup for a router

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

the "Media Center PC" is equivalent to any PC, you can add 3 additional computer with the 3 available network slots through wired or network cable (CAT5,UTP...) connection, if you want to go wireless same thing with the image

modern routers today will recognize any type of network cable, just tell the Store Technician who will CRIMP for your network cable, "im gonna connect it to a router for internet"

for simple troubleshooting, because some ISP providers Customer Support technician will not assist you if you use a router, browse through your manual, open a internet web browser (i.e Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome), type in the IP (i.e usually 192.168.1.1) of your router in the address bar, login with the default username and password

When your connected to your router, browse and look for something like "DHCP Release" or "DHCP Renew", Release mean it will clear your IP address connected to the internet, Renew will refresh your IP address connected to the internet, just mess with the two, until all the data are filled up, very important data there is the IP address use by the modem, it is just named "IP address: " with the IP address of course

    hope this helps

i think ang mga isp karun naga provide na sila modem/router but the router has only 1 lan port...so i puro pc lang imo i connect additional...palit nlng ka switch mas barato...and if naa pud laptop... palit ka wireless switch with 4 Lan ports para ghapun sa uban na pc.. naka wifi pa inyo balay...

dont forget to set pass word ofcourse, unless ur generous to share it sa imo silingan naka pick sa signal nmu

i dont know much about connecting through wireless, im kinda used to connecting through wired

Connecting through wired from the Router (Adv/Disadv)
    Advantage: safe, faster, reliable
    Disadvantage: cabling
Solution: well you can just let it pass through behind appliances and near the walls, bottom part of doors, if your gonna let it pass through different rooms

Connecting through wireless from the Router (Adv/Disadv)
Advantage: no network cables needed to connect to the router from the PC/computer
Disadvantage: i really don't know, i never tried one
