FOUR barangays in the mid-western town of Pinamungajan, a known bailiwick of the Yaphas, a political opponent of the Garcias, were stripped of their Capitol-issued multicabs upon the orders of Gov. Gwen Garcia. These were Barangays Tanibag, Camugao, Lamac and Butong, whose barangay captains are loyal supporters of the Yaphas. Gwen ordered the confiscation following reports the barangay captains used the multicabs to campaign for the Yaphas, who supported the gubernatorial bid of former Cebu City councilor Hilario “Junjun” Davide III.
Former third district congressman Antonio Yapha ran against incumbent Rep. Pablo John Garcia. Pinamungajan Mayor Geraldine Yapha, Antonio’s daughter, was challenged by former Penro chief Glenn Baricuatro of One Cebu Party.

I was informed more barangays will suffer the same fate, especially in those areas where Gwen was defeated by Davide.
The multicabs were donated by the Capitol almost two years ago through the mayor’s office, despite their rivalry. It was Mayor Yapha who decided to assign the vehicles in the four barangays.
In my radio interview, Tanibag Barangay Captain Benito Fernandez, a known Yapha loyalist, denied using the multicab for partisan politics. He said the vehicle was used to serve his constituents regardless of who they supported.
Granting the vehicles were used for partisan politics, it was not only the opposition barangay captains who were guilty. What about barangay officials who also used their barangay vehicles for political activities supporting Gwen’s One Cebu Party? During the rallies of Lakas-Kampi-CMD presidential bet Gibo Teodoro, whom One Cebu Party supported, in major towns and at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), several Capitol-owned vehicles were used to ferry supporters. Wouldn’t this fall under partisan politics, too?
Isn’t this a double standard? Partisan politics if it’s the opponent caught doing it, but no problem as long as it’s a supporter.
I challenge Capitol to confiscate all vehicles used to favor One Cebu candidates. Kana ra bang manghatag unya bawi-on, makahubag ra ba ug sampot.

^^ mao sad na imo sir... gwen is cebu gov. tomas is cebu city mayor. they are on different domain. it happens na they are political enemies; and since you love tomas, that's why you hate bobby..

pero again, bobby doesn't need to please us by making sure he will balance his attacks to both tomas and gwen. unsay naa sa iya huna-huna, tira dayon... pero not to the point na dapat kung mo tira sya ni tomas, dapat mo tira sad sya ni gwen... kung unsa sya mo tira ni tomas, dapat ana sad sya ni gwen... hmmm... selos lang guro tawag ana...

ang ako gi post is on being FAIR and PROFESSIONAL he is. kung mo sulti cya ug "pag ka toytoy ni tomas, or ma matay na si tomas, or pag ka bogo, or whatever", he should also do that to gwen.

im not pro tomas, and definitely not jealous with his treatment to tomas. read my first post.

sir, just want to clarify ha..i never mentioned "hate,love,selos etc".. wat i said, fair ba iya comments? and mas mo-believe pa ko kung parehas iya pagtira kang gwen ug ni tomas.. ikaw na bitaw nag-ingon nga "dumot" na ila..maka-expect ba diay ta ug fair comments kung naana ang dumot?.. and fyi sir, dili ko botante sa cebu city..
