You're not even sure. And you'd never be because you don't know what runs into the mind of those criminals.

And how do you know they won't rely on rumors and hearsays? From the fact that they gun down those "suspected" criminals is proof enough that they rely on these.

Come to think of it, suspected criminals are by nature still innocents. No solid evidences pa to back it up. Hence, suspected.

I can only laugh. You're overly philosophical (literal?) towards the issue you forget to fill in the important points.

You asked for evidences. It's hilarious. The police department has not even caught these criminals you're now looking for the things to nail them in court. I daresay catch the crooks before you look for the evidences.

If the POLICE has no clues of the identity of the criminals , how much more on us who only read , watch and listen to news ? Another thing, you asked if it was really the vigilantes who did those atrocities. Be reminded that the term "vigilante" is not actually the name of these hoodlums. For all we know they named themselves the Brotherhood of the Carabao. But the thing is, in order for the people and media to qualify these criminals, to categorize them they gave them a description, thus Vigilante, which means, "a member of a volunteer committee organized to suppress and punish crime summarily."
And since according to police records these 160 (imagine that man, if that doesn't shock you, I don't know what will) unsolved cases have similarities - armed men riding a motor cycle, gunned down victims were either criminals or suspected criminals - it's enough to say there are being done by these crooks, the vigilante.

The argument is a no-brainer, really. The real issue here is: Has our government (the police department for that matter) that inept to safeguard its citizens?
