i have been practicing kung fu since I was in my elementary years and I think learning the art of self defense is a major advantage... at least confident ka gamay and you know that you can do something when the situation calls for it...
The best form of martial art for me though is close quarters combat or CQB, used primarily by paramilitary forces around the world, no fancy moves pero sure kill hehe
IMHO, the most dangerous martial arts that involves in weapons. Weapons are great neutralizers and abviously of great advantage. Kinsa kunoy makipag-awai empty-hands vs weapon... like knife, sword, any bladed weapon.
Patrixxx73, you must do research before telling this over the forum. True, that there was no factual basis that we call Filipino Martial Arts, Filipino because there were no written history. Does Chinese Martial Arts originate in China? Does Japanese Martial Arts originate in Japan? Or the Korean Martial Arts originate in Korea? It's a matter of identifying where the system or martial arts started to evolve. Eskrima, Kali, Arnis came into view after WWII because no one can name the type of fighting system they use and mostly they name them at the person’s last name. These masters of the arts fled to foreign lands and spread the system out. The Spaniards had a tremendous fight over the local people because their fighting art was brutal. Lapu-lapu didn't say that it's Kali, Eskrima or Arnis killed Magellan. He had extensive training and will power to fight the Spaniards and eventually the death of Magellan. Now, if you think that we don't have something to be proud of, look for this Filipino Martial Arts - daghan na diha sa Cebu.Does "that type of martial art from the Philippines" has a name? What would be your basis that it indeed originate from the Philippines? Please support your claim...
Let me ask you this, why wouldn't you know that there is Filipino Martial Arts or Martial Arts system in the Philippines in the first place?
halos tanan martial arts deadly kong kahibalo ka sa patyanan sa tao..

FOR ME GUYS ESKRIMA IS THE BEST...is not that im a Filipino but its the System that calculate (combative skills)
PAREHA TA DIRI TANAN... mga MARTIAL ARTIST.... PLEASE LETS NOT COMPARE ANYMORE AND i would like to request a stop to dis discussion...
a small amount of knowledge of any form of MARTIAL ARTS IS DANGEROUS ENOUGH... while a full knowledged and or a HIGHLY TRAINED MARTIAL ARTIST IS DEADLY.![]()
for my opinion, there is nothing and no MARTIAL ARTS THAT IS THE DEADLIEST...the person who practice any form of MARTIAL ARTS AND USE IT IN THE WRONG MANNER WILL BE THE DEADLIEST...
OT - if u think im wrong?... then thats ur opinion...but if u think im rite?... then ull be my friend...![]()
