    Just some of the accomplishments under Mayor Arturo Radaza's administration :
    (I'm sure there are more, this is just off the top of my head)

    Islands:
    -Olango manpower hi speed sewing training center (all graduates (200/month) are hired automatically in MEPZ <a MOA between MEPZ companies and the city was made>)
    -Concreting and widening of Olango causeway
    -Lighting of Olango causeway
    -Providing 24 hour electricity to Olango island
    -Concreting of Olango circumferential roads
    -5 new barangay halls in olango island
    -computerization of all island schools
    -3 new covered courts in olango island
    -new barangay hall in caohagan island

    Mainland:
    -renovating the district hospital after it was newly turned over by the province in 2009
    -converting lapu lapu city into a highly urbanized city
    -converting lapu lapu city into a lone congressional district (which leads to P80million / year in projects)
    -welding courses - more than 200 graduates accepted in kuwait
    -creation of lapu lapu city public college (starts june 2010)
    -creation of 7,000 new jobs from 2001 - 2010 ( data from PESO , Public Employment Services Office)
    -increasing tourists from 300,000 in 2001 to 1.2million in 2009 (annual figures)
    -Creation of the Lapu Lapu SWAT team and building a new office with modern firearms
    -Purchase of new fire trucks
    -creation of satellite fire departments
    -Purchase of Xray machine for the City health office
    -construction of 12 barangay halls in Mainland
    -construction of 6 covered courts in Mainland
    -providing a sea ambulance
    -creation of the first One Stop Shop for businesses in the Visayas region (business permits released in 2 business days)
